Industrial Skilled Development Program on Advance Bioinformatics: Tools, Techniques and Applications Introduction Sanve Biosciences Research Centre (SBRC) is an autonomous centre pursuing human resource development activities in areas of Life Sciences, Bioinformatics and Information Technology. The training aims to develop skill in bioinformatics sector among the students, young innovators and budding scientists. There are many institutes spread across the country which train the students particularly in bioinformatics and it would be definitely very beneficial if the students, faculties and the research scholars get a proper training. SBRC is well equipped with various hardware & software, Desktop Machines, and high speed Internet Connection. In addition, centers are actively involved in conducting research on Computational Biology, Molecular Modeling, Database Development, Comparative Genomics and Proteomics, Biological data acquisition, creation and development of programmes and databases needed by the users. Objectives The objectives of this program are: To train and develop skilled human resources in the area of Bioinformatics. To create Bioinformatics R&D environment and entrepreneurship. Train graduate and post graduates of life sciences to be industry ready for employment. Carrier Opportunities Bioinformatics is the most promising and a fast growing sector in life sciences. There is a huge demand for bioinformaticians in USA, Europe, Australia and India. Presently the US bioinformatics market alone is worth US$7 billion and there will be a 10% annual growth in the bioinformatics market in the years to come. Around 600 bioinformatics companies

Next Generation Sequencing Eligibility Criteria Minimum of 50% in Master degree from University of the state or any other University recognized as equivalent in Bioinfomatics, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Agriculture, life Sciences or any other Life Science related courses. Minimum 50% in B.E./B.Tech- Bioinformatics, Biotechnology, Bachelor of Pharmacy, Agriculture, Veterinary (B.V.Sc & M.V.Sc), MBBS, BDS are also eligible.
Candidate who has appeared for their final exams can also apply. Duration of Course and Fee Structure: Total duration of training: 6 months. Fee for the six months program shall not exceed Rs.10050/- Fee should be submitted through bank chalan (download from SBRC website: www.sbrc.org.in). Fee once paid is not refundable under any circumstances. Candidates are advised to keep the receipt of remittance of fee (i.e. copy of Bank Challan) with them for future reference.
