4 Instructions to Candidates The college is looking for faculty who can step up the research activity in the departments in addition to regular teaching. The faculty are also expected to organize seminars /workshops, improve Institute-Industry interaction, attract sponsored Research Projects and demonstrate leadership skills. They are also expected to contribute to the updating and revision of scheme & syllabi and introducing the new courses catering to the latest demands in the profession. The posts are regular and carry UGC scales of pay. Higher emoluments will be considered in the case of deserving candidates. Preference shall be given to candidates satisfying the requirements of qualifications and experience are as per AICTE norms (AICTE Approval Process Handbook). 1. Candidates should be prepared to appear for an interview at their own expenses. 2. Candidates may be required to deliver a brief lecture for about 5 minutes on any topic in relevant discipline. 3. Assistant Professor: Rs MCA First Class Master s Degree in the appropriate branch of Engineering (Engg.)/ Technology (Tech.) (No minimum experience required). First Class Bachelor s degree in Engineering/ Technology or equivalent, valid GATE score, minimum 75 percentile; to complete M.Tech./ME within 5 years failing which the increments will be stopped until the postgraduate degree is earned. First Class Master s Degree in Engineering (Engg.)/ Technology (Tech.) (No minimum experience required). First Class Bachelor s degree in Engineering/ Technology. Ph.D. in Applied Biological Science such as Microbiology, Biochemistry, Genetics, Molecular Biology, Pharmacy, Biophysics. First Class MCA Degree/ M.Sc. (Computer Science)/ M.Sc. (Information Technology) with NET qualification. First Class BE/B.Tech. in Computer Science/ Information Technology/ GATE qualification of minimum 80% percentile score. 2. Associate Professor: Rs Ph.D. degree with first class at Bachelor s or Master s level in 2 years experience in at the level of Assistant First Class at Master s level in 5 years experience in at the level of Assistant Such candidates will be required to obtain Ph.D. degree within a period of 7 years from the date of appointment as Associate In the case of department offering PG programmes / Research, Ph.D. is a must.
