2 Qualification Requirement: 1. Research Scientist - II(M) : M.B.B.S / B.D.S / B.V.S.C recognized by M.C.I / D.C.I / V.C.I. respectively. And B.D.S / B.V.S.C degree with one year experience. Preferable : i. MD in related subject from a recognized university. ii. Additional post doctoral research / training experience. iii. Two years R & D / Teaching experience in relevant subject after obtaining essential qualification. iv. Having knowledge of computer in M.S. Office. Notes : - a) M.D or M.V.S.C degree in relevant subject shall be treated as equivalent to three years experience. b) Candidates with MD / MDS / MVSC degree will be preferred for direct recruitment. 2. Audiologist : B.Sc - Audiology with speech and language therapy. M.Sc - Audiology with speech & language therapy. Demonstrated interest in conducting research of epidemiologic prevalence of deafness in rural area. 3. Nurse : B.Sc (Three years of Experience) M.Sc (Community Nursing) 4. Social Worker : Master of social work (M.S.W.) degree He / She should provide consultation, technical assistance and or delivery of psychosocial support services to client as needed. Establish and update psychosocial resource. Provide consultation and technical assistance to the staff about individual client s psychosocial needs.

3 5. Field Worker : Graduate with community experience will be preferred. Demonstrated interest in conduct of health research. Demonstrated knowledge of rural health, Survey, administration and interviewing techniques. Excellent interpersonal skills. 6. D.E.O : Bachelor in Computer Application / Computer Science from recognized Institute / College. Will be responsible for maintaining data base, will supervise all primary and secondary data, excellent knowledge of M.S. Office, ability to interpret and follow research protocol. Will be responsible for uploading data on the shared server. 7. Driver : Should have valid driving license. Age should be less than 40 years Minimum three years of driving experience Project Description: Name of Project : Epidemiologic study of prevalence of deafness at Jamnagar district. Deafness among the people will be measured in different areas of Jamnagar district.
