With more than 50 years of competence in quality tools, we are ready for the demands you will be making on us today and tomorrow. 1826 With 180 years of history, Cooper Industries Inc. is one of the five oldest companies in the USA. 1936 The manufacturing of cartridges starts with about 1.200 employees in the plant. April 1945 1946 US troops occupy the Collis plants. They disassemble the machines. 1960 1972 DGD grows, the staff increases up to 450 people. 1934-1935 The ministry of the army in Berlin plans an arms factory and builds it in a wooded valley close to Westhausen-Reichenbach, the Collis-Metall- Werke CMW. 1940 1941 The production of cartridges increases up to 350.000 / month, the staff up to 1.800. 1959 Takeover by the US company Gardner-Denver and installation of a plant for pneumatic power tools. Foundation of DGD (Deutsche Gardner-Denver). 1973 DGD buys the entire plant with all halls.

OHG in Westhausen to Apex Tool Group GmbH & Co. OHG. Apex Tool Group is certified according to DIN EN ISO 14001 and 9001 and audited according to VDA 6.4.
