EVENT 15 th FAI World Para Ski Championships 2015 IPC Discipline: Para Ski, the Competition consist of 6 accuracy jumps, 1 final jump, 1 qualification run Giant Slalom, 2 runs Giant Slalom. Provide for relaxing days is perfect for hiking and cycling trails. Cultural attractions such as the castles, Ettal Monastery or the Wies Church invite you to visit. AIRCRAFT (see detailed photos on website: http://wpc2015.dfv.aero) Type: Helicopter (turbine engine): Ecureuil or similar helicopter (4 parachutists) with a dropping speed of approx. 60 80 kts. PRE-EVENT TRAINING On Tuesday 17 th February 2015 Accuracy Training is possible. The ticket price is 30,00 per Jump, exit altitude 1,000 meters. Pre-manifesting is required. We do NOT provide giant slalom training. Each team can organize if necessary its own slalom training by contacting local ski resort representative. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS The use of an AAD is highly recommended for jumping at Unterammergau. Main parachute must be initiated by 700 m AGL (= 2.300 ft) Use of head protection is mandatory. INSURANCE Liability insurance, covering Competitors, Officials, Judges etc. will be arranged by the Organizer. It is strongly recommended to all competitors to have insurance to cover for medical expenses and repatriation in the case of injury and for third party liability with coverage for situations not covered by SC 5, 4.5.3 (2). If necessary, the Organizer can assist in this matter. In case of problems please contact the organizer. The immediate medical First Aid to the participants is in the responsibility of the Organizer during the official event, including training days. Important: Any damage to the hotel etc. is in the responsibility of the persons/delegations involved. Personal items and equipment are under participant s responsibility. Competitors, accompanying persons and officials staff get vouchers for lunch. Dinner will be served in the hotel. There are several restaurants at the Steckenberg Alm nearby the competition area where the vouchers will be accepted. Vouchers cannot be redeemed for money ACCOMMODATION: Accommodation is in **** Hotel SCHILLINGSHOF (www.hotel-schillingshof.com) with bed and half board within 10 km from the competition area. Costs during competition are covered by entry fees, incl. FREE WIFI in the hotel. It is intended to accommodate all participants and officials in one hotel. Depends on participation. Hotel reservations for the official competition hotel (including extra-nights!) must be made exclusively through the competition organizing committee. Note: Payment for additional nights before and after the official arrival and departure day must be made separately and directly to the hotel: 50,- person/night (incl. breakfast) in double bedroom. A limited number of single bedrooms is available at 80,- person/night (incl. breakfast). JUDGES TRAINING COURSE A judges training course will not be organized at this event. COMPOSITION OF DELEGATION Each delegation may be comprised of: * 1 Head of Delegation (HoD) * 1 Team Manager * 2 Medical/Media members * unlimited number of Coaches * 3 accompanying persons (more persons are possible with approval of organizer) * up to a maximum of 16 competitors The teams may be all male, all female or of mixed gender. There may be no more than 8 men or 8 women in these teams. An additional team may be composed of only juniors or for each junior included in the teams mentioned above, this team may include one competitor of the same gender, who is not a junior. Women teams two (2) participants, all other teams four (4) participants. For the Junior team ranking, the team must be composed of 4 junior competitors. VISA SUPPORT Participants/delegation members needing VISA for entering the EU/Germany, upon request will receive VISA support by the Organizer (e. g. letter of invitation). In this case, please send a list of all persons involved to the Organizer at hb@dfv.aero and attach a copy of their passports (page with photo and expiry dates as pdf or jpg-file). Page 7 of 12
Important reminder: The OC requests from all competitors a valid FAI Sport License 2015 (online!) and a valid parachuting license. Each participating delegation should also bring a national flag (size: 100 cm x 150 cm) (important for the parade at the opening ceremony!) and a tape with the national anthem.
