CoolDrive 5 is a brand new hard-disk drive cooler by Cooler Master, which integrates cooling device function into the hard drive. CoolDrive5 offers you the best possible protection for your data. The product is designed with two analogue meters, using the electro luminescent effect. This facilitates easy, rapid comprehension of the hard-disk speed and temperature. The styling of CoolDrive 5 also makes your computer more impressive in terms of visual appearance. Chapter 2 Guarantee Information Cooler Master guarantees that this device is free of defects in material & workmanship, and provides a two-year Hardware Limited Warranty for the device, commencing from the date of purchase. Please keep your receipt in a safe place. This product is designed for computer usage only. Using this device in any other application will void the warranty. If you are not familiar with computer hardware installation, please ask for professional assistance. The warranty is valid only in the case of damage caused by normal use. The warranty is void if it is determined that the device has been damaged because of abuse, alteration, misuse, negligence, incorrect voltage supply, air/water pollution accidents or natural calamities.

HDD LED OUT extension cable X 1 (50CM) Screw Pack X 1 (8 screws) Chapter 4: Installation Setting up HDD Step 1: Remove the bottom cover of CoolDrive 5.
Step 2: Place 3.5 HDD on the bottom cover. Step 3: Reverse to the other side, secure the HDD to the bottom cover by fastening 4 screws.
(Note: there are four shock-proof rubbers on the two sides of the bottom cover to help secure the HDD) Setting up CoolDrive 5 Step 4: Choose any of the 5.25 slots on your computer case, and slide in the CoolDrive 5.
Step 5: Secure CoolDrive 5 by screwing in 2 screws on either side of the CoolDrive 5. (4 screws from the screw pack are provided for this purpose)
Connecting HDD LED Cable Caution: Please verify the Positive/Negative sides of the HDD LED before you plug it into the socket. Red color indicates the positive pole; black color indicates the negative pole. Step 6: Pull out the HDD LED cable from your PC motherboard and connect it to the HDD LED-OUT jack on your CoolDrive 5. Step 7: If the HDD LED cable is too short to connect the two devices, use the extension cable (50CM) included in the package by connecting one end (without error-proof design) to the HDD LED cable from the PC motherboard and the other end (with error-proof design) to the HDD LED-OUT jack on the CoolDrive 5.
Step 8: Connect one end of the HDD LED-IN cable (without the error-proof design) to the PC motherboard and the other end (with error-proof design) to the HDD LED-IN jack on the CoolDrive 5. Connecting the Temperature Sensor Cable Step 9: Connect one end of the temperature sensor cable (with error-proof design) to the cable end marked TEMP of CoolDrive 5. Attach the other end of the temperature cable onto the surface of the hard disk. Please stick the side without printing onto the thermal source whose temperature you want to monitor. Connecting to the Power Cable Step 10: Before you power on the devices, make sure all the cables are connected and tied up neatly to avoid any interference with the PC s work. Step 11: CoolDrive 5 must be used with standard power supply equipment. Please insert the four-pinned plug into the socket marked Power. Chapter 5 Getting Started with CoolDrive 5 Color button: To switch between the seven colors, press the button so that the background color of the HDD and TEMP meters varies. When the desired color is displayed, stop pressing the
button and it will be set as the background color. Speed button: To switch between the two fan speeds, press once to turn on Quiet and press again to turn on Ultra Quiet. Users can paste the temperature sensor onto the surface of thermal source. See how high the temperature is, then you can decide on the rotation speed you want for the fan. This helps your hard disk to remain in a stable state.
