We offer a five year programme that combines study for a BSc in Computing and IT Practice, on-the-job training on live client software development projects and the opportunity to gain a Level 4 Diploma in Professional (IT) Practice. Overview If you have decided you would like to work and study for a part time degree and develop your skills and knowledge through an alternative route, this is the opportunity for you. You will join Applications Services and become part of the team which specialises in the use of leading edge technologies, platforms and delivery processes to develop business solutions. 4 The Elements The Capgemini Sponsored Degree Programme comprises a number of parts: In your first fifty days, you will complete an intensive technical training. This intensive two month programme is designed to give you in depth experience and understanding of established and emerging languages and platforms, some examples are: C#; Drupal and web technologies, Microsoft and.net. You will also explore emerging platforms like Software as a Service and Cloud Computing. In addition, you will take a number of practitioner exams which you will be expected to pass. You will be joined by members of the Applications Services team at various times enabling you to get to know your colleagues and the business. You will have the opportunity to demonstrate how you are putting your learning into practice once you are working on projects, through a series of work based assessments. Upon completion of all elements, you will get a Level 4 Diploma in Professional Studies (ICT). Following your technical immersion, you will have a week s induction to Capgemini. You will get a deeper understanding of the business area you will be part of. You will be taken through all the processes and activities everything from how to use the phone system to how to record your time - that you will need to know to support you in your role. You will explore your career development, aligning your personal development plan as part of an induction to the degree and you will also be given helpful study tips and advice on how to get the most from the course. Starting in May, and taking five years to complete, you will pass different completion

In difficult times it is vital that we do all we can to create jobs and opportunities for the next generation. Boris Johnson Mayor of London points as you go through the degree programme until you graduate with a BSc in Computing and IT Practice with absolutely no student debt. You will explore the impact digital technologies are having on all aspects of life, from social networks to how organisations use their IT and what the future holds for technology. You will study project and service management, the impact change has on your own and your clients business and, you will explore information and communication and the fundamentals of interaction design. To support your understanding of the principles of software engineering, you will have the opportunity to delve into and develop your own programs using open source code using a unique hardware interface to explore the interaction of software and the outside world. Study is via distance learning, supported by experienced tutors, allowing you flexibility in your study with assignments and exercises directly related to your work situations. You will also work in virtual teams on projects. You will have the opportunity for further technical training and to develop your soft skills. This is an opportunity to expand your learning of how technology works for you, for our clients, for society and for the wider world while gaining a highly regarded qualifications. Supporting your progress: You will be supported throughout the programme by an assigned tutor, mentor and programme manager. 5

What we look for A minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade C or above, including Maths and English. To have or expect, three A levels, grades C or above, or their equivalent (e.g. a National BTEC with distinction). These are likely to include an IT related subject (including maths and science) OR completion of a full IT related Advanced Apprenticeship which includes work experience. A demonstrable passion and capability in software development: you might for example have designed a website or a game. You should also have a high analytical capability. We are looking for a clear set of skills, enthusiasm, energy, and creativity. You will be analytical in your thinking and approach. You will be a team player with great inter-personal skills and an understanding and commitment to excellent customer service. You will have a desire to learn and recognise that there are times when you have to demonstrate flexibility, and times when you will need to show resilience. Most of all, you will be passionate about developing. With good oral, written and interpersonal skills, you should be self motivated and work well in a team environment. 9
