Additional Information: - Allison transmission learning: The Allison is a constantly learning/adaptive transmission. We recommend that you allow the transmission to learn the increased power of the engine before applying heavy throttle. This is especially important on high horsepower tunes. All that you need to do is to accelerate thru the gears at light throttle, moderate throttle, and heavy throttle for the transmission to learn. If you are experiencing slow shifts or a slight flair on shifting, the transmission has not yet learned. - Instructional videos can be found on our website at www.atptrucks.com - Switching tunes on the fly: We recommend that you are not accelerating when switching tunes as the sudden power increase or decrease can cause a loss of vehicle control. - Turbo brake: For tunes setup for turbo brake option, you need to press the Tow/Haul button on your shift lever to activate the brake. The brake will be most effective at higher engine rpm s. As with any engine braking device, the turbo brake can cause the drive tires to break traction under poor traction conditions (snow, ice, loose gravel, etc.). Care should be taken in these conditions. - Reading and Clearing codes: Your autocal can be used to read and clear diagnostic trouble codes. To read codes select Display DTC s. To clear codes select Clear DTC s. - Checking the switch operation: Your autocal can be used to check the manual switch operation. You will need to scroll to the Display Data option and select your engine controller. Scroll down until you find the DSP voltage PID. Watch the switch voltage on the autocal when changing switch positions. You should see the voltage change with each position. If the voltage does not change, most commonly the switch pins are not completely seated in the ECM connector, or are in the incorrect pin location. Recheck the pin installation if necessary. - Making a data log (Duramax Only): Scroll down to Record Data. Once you select your ECM the AutoCal will start recording, while also displaying data. When you are finished, push the OK button to stop recording. The data log will automatically be saved to your autocal. To move the data log to your computer follow the same steps as moving the stock tune to your computer, except click on the Scan folder instead of the Read folder to locate the log. Additional PID s can be added to the Autocal by using the EfiLive Scan 9 ADRENALINE TRUCK PERFORMANCE AutoCal Customer Quick Start Guide
and Tune tool. Open the scan and tune, click on BBX, then Scan. Click on Read at the bottom of the window. All available PID s will be in the right hand window and the PID s already on the Autocal will be in the lower left window. To add PID s to your Autocal just drag and drop the desired PID s from the Available PID s window, to the Selected PID s window. When finished click on Program. Your changes have been saved, and your Autocal is now ready for data logging. - Making a data log (Cummins): You will need to use the EFILive V7.5 Scan Tool on your laptop in conjunction with your autocal. Reference the Scan Tool User Manual. This can be found by clicking on the windows start menu, all programs, EFILive, V7.5, Documents, and scan tool user manual. - Other EFILive Guides: For more detailed information about using your EFILive software go to your windows start menu, All Programs, and EFILive. Both V7.5 and V8 have a documents folder that you can reference for more information.
