Courses Taught: Fundamentals of Nursing: (didactic and clinical- Twice annually). In this course the student is introduced to the art & science of nursing. The nursing process is used as a continuing theme to integrate classroom theory with more complex clinical nursing care. There is ground, internet and lab and clinical component to this course. The systems taught would include cardiovascular, hematologic, renal/urinary, arthritis-connective tissue, integumentary, nervous system, vision and hearing systems. Community Health Nursing: (didactic and clinical- Twice Annually). This course focuses on the nursing role in the community, emphasis on concepts and theories related to community health nursing, health promotion and disease prevention. This course is taught on ground, traditional model with some internet assignments. Students are sent to do externships at ministries, daycares, schools, hospices and various other community organizations. Nursing Leadership and Management: (didactic and clinical- Twice Annually) This course is designed to develop beginning leadership skills for the nursing student, that are necessary to manage clients and healthcare workers.
