Instructions for Checking System Compatibility In order to participate and view the online training, you will need to watch the web conference from a computer that is compatible with the Oracle Web Conferencing software we will be using for this event. We encourage you to check your system for compatibility prior to the meeting so that you will not be delayed in joining the meeting. As you proceed with the check up for your system, the tools listed in this document will check for compatibility with the following specifications. 1) Web browser: Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher or Netscape 4.75 or higher. 2) Screen Resolution: 1024 x 768 or higher 3) Pop-up blockers disabled 4) PC Audio Card with Speakers or Headphones. All audio for the conference will be coming over the Internet to your computer. Without speakers or an audio card you will not be able to hear the conference. 5) Either SUN/Microsoft JVM must be installed on the machine. The browser should be Java enabled. Prov has placed a compatibility tool on its website to allow you to check for system. Go to www.provexam.com On the far right of the home page, under Training, press the link for Web Conference Center. You will be directed to a page that looks as similar to the picture to the left. Locate the NEW USERS paragraph near the bottom of the screen, and press the CLICK HERE hyperlink (inside of circle shown here). The web conferencing system will then present a popup that will look something like the following (depending on your operating system version) Web Conferencing System Check 1 of 11

Click on Run Click on Run Web Conferencing System Check 2 of 11

Click Verify Pop-up Test: This Tool verifies if a pop-up blocker is blocking giles.bcimeeting.com site. Press OK to begin the test. If you see the window below open automatically, it should automatically close. However, if this window does not close in less than 1 minute, please close this window manually. If your computer has XP, a Service Pack 2 pop-up blocker has been installed. This tool disables pop-up blocking for the giles.bcimeeting.com site. Web Conferencing System Check 3 of 11

It displays If you have any other pop-up blocker installed it prompts you to disable the popup by referring to the pop-up blocker documentation. Press OK to clear the message. If there is not a pop-up blocker application installed on your, machine the message below will display. This completes checks for pop-up blockers. Press the OK button to clear the message. The system then begins the test for Java Virtual Machine on your system. To being the test, press the OK button. Java Test: Web Conferencing System Check 4 of 11

The tool will now check if JVM is installed on your machine. If either Microsoft VM or Sun JVM is not installed on the computer, it will prompt you to download JVM and install it. If JVM is already installed it checks to see if Java is enabled in your browser. If it is not enabled, it sets the Java settings to High Safety. You will see the below window after the system passes the Java test. ActiveX test: If ActiveX is enabled, the RTC console that is needed to launch and join meeting is automatically downloaded. If one of the ActiveX settings is set to disabled, it prompts you to download the executable to install RTC console manually. Click on the link in the box to download the executable. You will get a File download Security warning. Web Conferencing System Check 5 of 11

Select Run The system will then pop up a second message requesting that you confirm launching of the ActiveX software. Select Run Web Conferencing System Check 6 of 11

Select Next Select Next Web Conferencing System Check 7 of 11

Select Finish Standard Oracle tests: After the minimum configurations checks are complete, it runs standard Oracle tests. In some cases the window that displays Audio Check does not display Yes/NO buttons to confirm the audio that is being played. Web Conferencing System Check 8 of 11

If this happens hit the TAB key on the key board once. This will now display a YES/NO button that was hidden before, due to the pop-up window being small. After the tests are complete, a summary of the results are shown in the screen below. You have successfully completed the system requirements check. You may now launch or join a web meeting. Web Conferencing System Check 9 of 11

Joining a Conference Return to Prov s Home Page at www.provexam.com. Locate the Web Conference Center link and select it to return to the Web Conference Center. Enter the Conference ID and Conference Key (Password) provided to you. Then press the Join Meeting button. On the following screen, RE-ENTER the password provided to you which is called the Conference KEY on this page. Also, enter your First and Last name and an email address if you wish. Web Conferencing System Check 10 of 11

Once you have entered this information, press the Join Conference button. The web-conference system will open up a couple of Internet windows. In order to view the presentation, you will need to select the application at the bottom of your screen that looks as follows: The system will automatically launch the viewer, but if you happen to leave the presentation intentionally or by accident, just press the button identified above and to the right. This lists the name of the presenter and shows the webconference icon. (In the example above, you would select the button labeled Henry Sorensen Leaving the conference When you have finished participating in the conference, you can close your conference session by pressing the X located in the upper right hand corner of your screen.
