AUTOBIOGRAPHY My name is Kathrine Huang. I was born in New York, United States, and two years later that I moved to Taiwan with my parents. When I was a child, I liked drawing and writing Chinese Calligraphy, and I learned some drawing skills that made me love art and design. During college, I learned some Adobe software including Photoshop, Illustration and InDesign, and I am a graphic designer. I love design and have passion to it. Now, I moved to San Francisco to complete my MFA degree at Academy of Art with Web Design New media, and I can develop a lot of skill in web design, and use something that I learn to create and present my design. After I complete my MFA degree, I hope I can work as web developer, and use all of design skills that how I learn from Academy of Art. 1

PROJECT DEFINTION Abstract Doodleing is the first visual language of a child, where the child can use pencil to build his or her own world. Parents who can't draw are always worried their children might ask them how to draw but they don't want break their children's dream. Little Doodle is not only an drawing education application that teaches 4-6 years old how to draw, but it also includes a lot of adorable animals and interactive game to attract kids. Learning and creativity are important for children. When kids learning, craeative can make their talent get exert. Little Doodle use this way let kids not only can learn draw animals, but also can use these skill to creative their own artwork. Every children have their talent, after they know how to do it, they can use their own vision give you surprise. Let your kids doodle! 7
PROJECT DEFINTION Statement of Interest Since I was little, I have loved to doodle. I always draw different things for my friends as a gift, and they like them. I m an individual who loves to play with children because they inspire me. I have two nieces and they are 4 year-old twins. One day, they asked their mom to teach them how to draw, but their mom doesn t know how to draw. So, I taught them learn how to draw. When I drew with them, I learned that they like to draw animals and surreal figures. Drawing with children makes me ecstatic because I can see their creativity and imagination onto a piece of paper. Therefore, this inspired me to use my skills to make a project that my family and friends can use. I also want parents and children to learn how to draw. This project will give them an insight on how to draw. In addition, it will be an interactive way to let children discover their passion to draw. Drawing is a source of pleasure as well as it improves our attention to detail, see colors, and shapes. 8

TARGET AUDIENCE - PRIMARY Holly Holly is a 4 year-old girl from Taiwan. She really wants to learn how to draw. She likes to use her pencil and crayons to doodle. Her parents have an ipad, and they use the ipad as a tool to play games with Holly. In addition, they use the ipad to read bedtime stories and for other educational purposes. Because they know that Holly loves to draw, they want to find an application that can teach Holly how to draw. Age: 4 year-old Gender: Girl Location: Taiwan Interest: doodle, animals Personal Traits: Creative, active, and strong interest in art. 21
TARGET AUDIENCE - SECONDARY Karen Karen is Tom s mother. They live in North Beach, San Francisco. Tom is a 5 year-old ill-disciplined boy and his mother wants him to be focused and be interested in art. Karen is a housewife so she spends most of her time with her son. She has an ipad. They use it to play games everyday. Karen doesn t know how to draw and she wants to find an application that can engage Tom in art. Age: Karen (mother) 34 year-old Gender: Female Location: North Beach, San Francisco Hobbies: Playing with their dog, cooking and play ipad, reading together with Tom. 22
