1.0 About this manual This manual describes the installation and maintenance of the Server box for ICON playgrounds. It also includes technical specifications and information about certifications. 2.0 Intended use The ICON Server box is a system designed for powering and controlling up to 6 structures on an ICON playground. The build in LINUX server controls the gaming; utilizing 6 CAN bus output ports. The 24V power supply utilizes 6 power outputs each fused by 4A. A build in day/week timer gives the option of powering the playground off at periods. The ICON Server box is specially designed and approved for use with ICON equipment only. Installation instructions described in this manual must be followed. If the installation, use and maintenance of the ICON Server box, described in this manual are violated, the protection provided by the Server box may be impaired! 2.1 European WEEE directive All electronic components of ICON are subject to the European WEEE directive and must at the lifecycle end be recycled according to the directive. The electronic components are marked with WEEE recycle mark. - 3 -

OBS! BEFORE ANY WORK WITHIN THE SERVER BOX IS DONE THE MAIN CIRCUITBREAKER MUST BE SWITCHED OFF!!! 16A resettable fuse Switch to the off position! Installation of the 24V cables from the playground Preparing the cables: 1) Dismantle the cable by app. 70mm 2) Cut off the filler cords 3) Cut off the white and yellow wires 4) Dismantle the inner cords by 5mm - 5 -
5) Mount the wire ferrules using a special plier 6) Final result See specification below! Wire Ferrules for CAN bus (blue & green wire): Kompan order no: A900648-99 Wire Ferrules for 24V (Orange & Black wire): Kompan order no: A900648-99 Crimping Pliers for End Sleeves (ferrules) Knipex: Kompan order no: A900638-99 Connecting the cables: 1) Put on the screw cap 2)Put cable through the fastener and fasten properly 3) Unscrew the cable fitting 4) Twist the shield cords around the cable jacket - 6 -
5) Put on the cable fitting 6) Fasten the cable to the copper rail 6) Mount the wires according to the colors in the 7) Cable mounted, mount the remaining cables in PCB-terminals, starting with orange at the left. The same way OBS! The special terminal opener tool from Wago MUST be used for mounting the wires! Wago order no:236-332 - 7 -
Setting the DIP switches: The tree DIP switches S4, S3, S2 must be set to either the ON or OFF position depending on how the cables are mounted in the cable connectors (see table below). The ON position is printed on the top of the switches. The OFF position is the opposite position. Note that there are two separate actuators on each switch. They must both be set to the same position. S4 S3 S2 0A 0B 1A 1B 2A 2B NO Cable S4= ON S3= ON S2= ON One Cable S4= ON S3= ON S2= ON Two Cables S4= OFF S3= OFF S2= OFF - 8 -
Installation of 110V/230V power cable Installation of the 110/230V power cable must be done in compliance to local rules and regulations for fixed installations. The installation must be done by an authorised electrician or an equal qualified person. Connect the power cable to the following terminals: Gray = Phase, Blue = Neutral Yellow/Green = Protective ground Power cable Replacing fuses 1) Remove and replace the 4A fuse by hand. OBS! Fuses must only be replaced by fuses of same types and ratings. Type : Little fuse, MINI Blade Fuse Rated 32V, no: 0297004_ 4 A 121 mv 23.48 mω 17 A²s - 9 -
