Institution Based Delivery Structured formal training for Theory-based Units will be held in a designated classroom at Adelaide College of Technology premises; Students are expected to attend all scheduled training sessions with correct equipment, books etc. Students are expected to undertake reading and research activities in conjunction with the delivery of face-to-face theory and practical sessions. Activities involve small groups and individual activities performed in the classroom or simulated environment under direct supervision and are provided for all students. Students are provided with training manuals and activities books for each (cluster of) units, which include all materials required to be used in the learning environment as well as examples of best office practices. RPL Recognition of Prior Learning or RPL pathways is taken by students by providing evidence that they meet the skills and knowledge to the standards required of the Advanced Diploma of Management RPL is based on a portfolio and interview approach, where students accept the main responsibility for identifying, gathering and submitting evidence about their achievement of the competencies. The RPL process may involve a practical demonstration assessment of admin and technical skills, wherein students will be required to pay a Challenge Test Fee. LLN All students have the option to be assessed in order to ascertain whether their Language Literacy and Numeracy skills are sufficient to successfully complete the training program. This usually requires the completion of an exercise contained in the proposed training program. Those who require further support will be advised to seek this with a qualified expert; there are a number of training organisations able to provide this service. The process used to validate assessment in this program are: The Course Coordinator will convene a meeting with the trainers and assessors at the end of each term with a view to conduct validation, moderation and review of assessments conducted. These meetings will confirm the evidence gathering techniques and the required standards of performance are appropriate for the participants and will also focus on reviewing assessment tools and decisions made. Records of these meetings will be kept and all areas that require action will have action taken as per the requirements of the RTO Continuous Improvement process. The Course Coordinator has the responsibility for developing, managing and monitoring strategies to ensure consistency in assessment. Internal audits are conducted annually by the Compliance Coordinator. The internally developed guidelines for assessment are utilised along with the assessment guidelines from the Business Services National Training Package. Course Coordinator, senior trainers and other relevant staff will be sent to attend the relevant industry Professional Development Workshop on assessment validation. Student evaluation surveys are completed at the end of each course. Assessment processes, methods, materials, tools and decision-making are revised in light of evaluation results. Detailed outcomes of validation of policies, procedures and assessment tools will be recorded into Improvement Form Regular feedback is provided to all course stakeholders on course progress and assessment outcomes, which provides a mechanism for stakeholders to reply and comment on. Infrastructure requirements All staff (including full time, part time and casual) involved in the delivery and assessment of this qualification, have direct access to the current version of the BSB07 Training Package, including the appropriate units of competency, assessment guidelines and qualification structure through the TGA website. All staff (including full time, part time and casual) involved in delivering the program has access to trainer, assessor and student support materials relevant to their areas of delivery and assessment. All assessors have access to point and electronic copies of the assessment tools used in this program. Learning resources are supplied to all students The RTO has access to staff and training/assessment resources to meet the requirements of students with special needs and has an assessment process that incorporates reasonable adjustment procedures.
