Step #2 Installation Instructions Once you have both your User ID and Password, log on to the online portal to install the trading client. Please note that for your protection your User ID and Password will arrive in separate emails for installing the live client application. For the trial, your username and password will arrive in one email. From this email, do the following: Click on the given web address: https://www.rcgonyx.com/onyxweb Enter your User ID and Password Click on the button Follow the on screen prompts to install Turbo Trader 2
Completing Installation Once you have installed Turbo Trader 2, an icon will appear on your desktop, double click to start the application For free trial users please select demo in the drop down menu. For the live trading clients, please select live.
Step #3 Overview Once you login, the toolbar will appear on the left side of your screen
There are two ways to place a trade: By clicking on the Ticket button you may execute a trade from within the Ticket window, as shown below: You may also execute a trade from within the ABV window
Click on the ABV Button: the ABV window will appear, which you will need to populate with the desired contract
Click the Contracts button from the toolbar, and select the product and month you would like to trade
Click on the Quotes Button and drag your contract into the quote window to view market data
Before placing a trade: Make sure to click the button on the ABV to ensure your account has populated the window Click the pad contract size button and select The next slide shows how your screen will look
Layout Overview
To Place a Trade Within the ABV window. Click on either side of the price column to buy or sell The next slide depicts how & where to place trades in the ABV window
Buy Stops/Market Buy Place buy stops above the market by right clicking. Place market buy orders by left clicking above the market in the BID column. Buy Limit Place buy limit orders by clicking in the BID column at a currently bid price. ABV Functionality Sell Limit Place sell limit orders by clicking in the ASK column at currently offered price. Actions Performs basic market execution, cancel orders, flatten and reverse orders on the ABV Main Switch accounts and contracts within the main button. Link Set and place bracket and trailing stop orders from the link button. Pad Select the quantity to trade. Sell Stops/Market Sell Place sell stops below the market by right clicking. Place sell market orders by left clicking below the market in the ASK column. ABV Settings Customize settings on the ABV
ABV Display Data (Tools to Help you Trade) High of the Day Both the highlighted red row, and the price highlighted in red display the high of the day. Low of the Day Both the highlighted blue row, and price highlighted in blue display the low of the day. Vol./Qty The number in parentheses is the last traded quantity at the price, the number to the left is the total number of contracts traded for the specific price and time. Net Position This number displays your net position for the specific contract. Thermometer Displays market direction in ticks from the time you drag the contract into the ABV. (GREEN = upward movement, RED = downward movement) Last Price Displays last traded price. Net Change Displays the net change for the current trading session.
Toolbar Windows Orders View all working and filled orders. From the orders widow you can cancel and amend orders. View the history of filled orders and filter by state, instrument, or side. Toolbar Open and close windows by clicking on the desired button. Important connection status is displayed on the Host and Price buttons. Minimize the platform by clicking Min. Fills View all orders filled for the current trade session. From the fill window you can reverse your position and filter your filled orders by account, instrument, or side. Messages Displays all the information exchanged between RCG Onyx 2 and various data feeds.
