Property Panorama Guidelines for Photo Taking Use a 5 megapixel camera or better. No need for a tripod. Property Panorama is sophisticated enough to stitch images together aligning them perfectly with regular photos. Ensure proper camera settings: Flash: On Auto Focus: On or Sequential Aspect Ratio: 4:3 Auto Focus: On Date Time Stamp: Off No wide angle lenses or wide angle settings Be sure not to have any people or animals in photos. Be sure to not photograph any branding, such as the real estate sign in the front yard. When taking images use natural lighting or overhead lighting. Take photos from left to right this will help prevent any distortion in the panorama. Try to begin at a point of interest on the left since the panorama begins and ends at that point. Overlap photos approximately 50% as you take photos of the room. Take photos within 15 seconds of each other for photos in the same panorama. Wait at least 40 seconds before beginning the next panorama, or any still photo. Remember you can include both still images and panoramas in your virtual tour. There is no limit to the number of photos taken for each panorama. There is no limit to the number of panoramas and/or still photos that you use for each virtual tour. Once you have taken your photos: 1. Create a folder for the photos on your computer. 2. Name the folder the address of the property, i.e. 1235 Main St. 3. Download your photos from your camera into that folder. 8/29/11 Page 2
