New Delhi: The B-School placement season has started with a bang the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) in New Delhi said on Thursday it has achieved 100% placement within a week. IIFT, a leading B-School under the ministry of commerce and industry, said 69 companies hired its entire batch of 219 students on salaries that on an average were 20% higher than last year s. The highest international compensation offered was $110,000 (Rs.68 lakh) and the highest domestic offer was Rs.24 lakh per annum. Close to quarter of the batch received PPOs a 48% rise over last year, the institute said. Hiring companies included Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd, Tata Motors Ltd, Cipla Ltd, ITC Ltd, ICICI Bank, HDFC, Wipro Ltd hired from the campus.
