MIAMI ACTING COMPANY MISSION STATEMENT The Miami Acting Company seeks to promote awareness and appreciation of the performing arts in Miami Dade and surrounding communities through the presentation of live theatrical performances. We are also dedicated to the support of philanthropic causes that would benefit from utilizing our programs for fund raising purposes. Andreina Kasper "Nina" (Antonia/Moorish Dancer) is a Singer/cellist/ pianist/arranger. She studied cello performance at New World School of the Arts. She has accompanied Latin artist such as Shakira, Enrique Iglesias, David Bisbal, Gilberto Santa Rosa and many more. Nina also went on tour with the band Camila, performed at the Miami Life Awards and was invited to sing the national anthem for the Venezuelan Embassy. She is also a full time teacher at International School of Music. Nina is super excited to be part of one of her favorite musicals, and to perform with an incredible cast. Mario Rodriguez (Padre/Muleteer/Moor) has been taking part in theater since high school, doing productions from his junior year through college; he majored in Music and was a five year contributor to the Broward Choral Society while at Broward College, during this time there Mario was also a featured player in the Sea Hawks Singers productions of I Won't Grow Up as Charlie Brown, and as "Collective" in their production of Colin Healy's 'Anthem'. He is currently a radio personality 'Mighty Mundane' on Trek Radio. Manny Catalino (Tenorio/Muleteer/Moor) a Miami native, has performed in Noises Off (Lloyd Dallas), CATS (Bill Bailey/Admetus), Company (Peter), The Producers (Leo Bloom), Chicago (Sgt Fogarty, Aaron, Martin Harrison, Ensemble), Closer (Larry) and Cheaters (Allen). Manny had his directorial debut with Miami Acting Company s 2011 production of No Exit. Other stage credits include: Edward Albee's The Sandbox (Daddy), Antonio Martinez Ballestero's Los esclavos (Hombre 1), A Postcard From Paris (Space, Ensemble), & Fuenteovejuna (Ensemble), a co production with the Hispanic Theater Guild & Belen Jesuit Prep. Television credits include Miami Dade TV and Day of Our Lives. Scripted acting aside, Manny has also been an improvisational actor for 10 years. He's a performer, sketch writer, instructor & director at Just the Funny, Miami's Home for Improv and Sketch Comedy. In his free time, Manny works as an engineer for a global telecommunications company and has a love hate relationship with peanut butter. Special thanks to the love of his life Erin, for her constant support and patience, Mom, Pam, Bill and the extremely talented cast & crew, and of course his adoring fans from coast to coast, aka. friends. June Savage (Choreographer/Flamenco Dancer/Moorish Girl)June has been dancing and teaching with the famous likes of Ann Reinkjng and Gwen Vernon, Jack Stanley, Thomas Amour and Fred Bratcher. June has won numerous awards and was in the first graduating class of New World School Arts. She was in Miami Ballet Company and Miss Dance America for Tap. June also worked with Mia Mia Micheals. Fosse is her favorite just coming off Miami Acting Company sold out show CHICAGO and The Producers with rave reviews for her choreography. June is a Luxury Estate Agent with One Sotheby's International Realty and is also a substitute teacher for the dance class at Gulliver Prep. June grew up here in Pinecrest, also raising her son here, and is grateful to Pinecrest Gardens for such a wonderful venue!

Lizeth Barrial-Carrera (Producer) is an award-winning television producer who has been in the industry nearly two decades. A Miami native, Lizeth has been involved in every aspect of theater acting, writing, directing, and designing. She earned a B.A. in theater from the University of Miami, as well as one in broadcasting - which lead her to dedicate herself exclusively to the television industry for several years. Lizeth has worked as an actress, news reporter, video editor, writer, special effects artist as well as voice-over talent. This year she made her return to the theatre as the Producer for the Miami Acting Company s debut of Man of La Mancha. Lizeth is an active mother of two who spends her limited free time painting and writing as well as testing her adventurous spirit with skydiving, flying, scuba diving, and motorcycle riding. Lizeth is thrilled to be returning to her first love the theatre. John Cosomano (Stage Manager) A New York actor, John has lived in Miami for the last 11 years. Some of his TV credits include: Burn Notice, Sex & The City and Oz. John has done Thesis films for NYU & UM. John has worked for several years as a Set Medic for feature films episodic TV & commercials. John has previously appeared on stage as Oscar Madison in the Miami Stage Company production of The Odd Couple. This is John s maiden voyage as a stage manager. I dedicate this work to my son Vincent and daughter Taormina. Steve Millan (Dr. Carrasco/Muleteer/Moor) Born and raised in New York, lives and works in Miami as a criminal defense and bankruptcy attorney. Although this is his theater debut on the acting stage and with the Miami Acting Company, Stephen enjoys playing a variety of roles as husband to his wife Hortensia, father to their five children, Stephen, Anthony, Michael, Andrew and Joseph, brother, son, and Scoutmaster. Stephen dedicates this performance to his Dulcinea, Hortensia and thanks her for living the Impossible Dream with him over these past 18 years. Peter Heller (Duke/Muleteer) grew up in Oceanside, New York before relocating to Miami in 1980 to attend the University of Miami School of Law. He is a well seasoned local criminal defense lawyer by trade, and makes his first foray into theatrical acting since his Summer Stock [summer camp)] days in the 70 s. Always one to perform in front of a jury, Peter is delighted that his first true acting role permits him to work and learn from so many talented and wonderful people.

Antoine Khouri (Music Director) is a graduate of the prestigious New World School of the Arts. He went on to receive a Bachelor Degree from Florida State University in Music Education with an emphasis in String Education. He also holds a Master Degree from the University of Miami Frost School of Music in Media Writing and a Master Degree from FIU School of Music in Performing Arts Production. Although his primary instruments are the piano and the double bass, his skills as a musician far exceeds his ability to play various instruments, produce, compose his own Music, and as a Musical Director, he conducts numerous ensembles. Throughout his professional career, Mr. Khouri has closely studied with many high level and respected educators such as Raul Murciano Jr, Rey Sanchez, Dr. Roby George, Gary Lindsay, Thomas Sleeper, Michael Allen, Robert Shaw, and Andrea Thomas. In addition, Mr. Khouri has conducted Honors Orchestras throughout Florida and was selected to conduct the 2003 Florida All State Honors Orchestra at the Florida Music Educators' Conference in Tampa. He is an adjudicator and guest conductor for the State of Florida, clinician for solo and ensembles and district MPA evaluations. Mr. Khouri has an extensive performing background with the Miami city Ballet, FIU Symphony Orchestra and Chamber Orchestra and Wind Ensemble, Jubilate Symphony Orchestra, the Symphony Orchestra and Chamber Orchestra of Florida State University, and Florida A&M University Jazz Band, Symphonic Band, and Flute Choir. In the Music business, Antoine Khouri has worked with numerous artists including Black Violin, Wendy Pedersen, Bobby McFerrin, Alicia Keys, Music Soul Child, Erikah Badu, The Isley Brothers and many others. Mr. Khouri was the Music Director for the Greater Miami Youth Symphony for 7 years. He joined professional violinist Miriam Stern as co music director and conductor of a top level youth string ensemble "The Miami String Project. His extensive knowledge of Music ranging from, Classical to contemporary Music provides for a fresh approach to the many students of Miami Dade County. Antoine Khouri is an adjunct Music professor at Miami Dade College where he is currently employed. Khouri s passion for Music is extended through his private teachings in double bass, piano, music theory, sight singing, and music motivation.

Carlos Rivera (Pedro/Muleteer/Moor) This is South Florida Native Carlos Rivera s first collaboration with the Miami Acting Company. Carlos is a 14 year veteran of Miami's improv theater scene. He is a co owner, instructor, Mainstage Castmember of the Just The Funny Theater & Training Center (JustTheFunny.com). In addition to MAC and JTF, Carlos has also performed in several local plays including "Don t Dress for Dinner", "The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged)", and a British Panto retelling of "Cinderella". You can also find him in Ka Bar's newest viral video "Zombie Garage", in his critically acclaimed turn as "Skeeter". Carlos was recognized as one of South Florida's Top Ten Comedians of 2011 by the SunPostWeekly. When he's not making "the funny", Carlos can be found working in the exciting field of... property management accounting! Carlos is known for his dry, yet witty humor, and can be seen performing a superb rendition of Michael Sembello's "Maniac" on Karaoke stages throughout the county. Although she has directed professionally, Man of La Mancha marks her directorial debut for Miami Acting Company. An avid Cervantes scholar, financial radio talk show host and published author, Pamela dedicates this production to her mother, Eva Schultz, a gentle soul who survived the holocaust with heart intact by seeing beauty and embodying hope in the darkest of places, much like our poet warrior hero, Don Quixote. Thank you, mom. You are my inspiration. Pamela is a national expert on reverse mortgages and a senior advocate with an appointment to the National Reverse Mortgage Lending Association Congressional Committee. A graduate of the Eugene O Neill National Theatre Institute with a B.A. in theatre from Grinnell College, she has enjoyed bringing to life a myriad of roles from NYC to Paris, France. She has toured throughout the country singing jazz and blues. A Miami native, Pamela speaks several languages. Here s to realizing the Impossible Dream we hold in our hearts. Ken Kurtz, (Scenic and Lighting Design) is a Professor Emeritus of the Department of Theatre Arts, University of Miami, Florida, where he taught Theatre history, Scenic and Lighting Design, and designed over two hundred shows. As a member of United Scenic Artists he executed more than sixty professional commissions for such theatres as the Coconut Grove, Asolo, Colony, Burt Reynolds and Clarion Castle in Florida, the Alliance in Atlanta, the Walnut Street in Philadelphia, and the Sharon Playhouse in Connecticut. His settings or lights have showcased such luminaries as Jose Ferrer (Life With Father), Mercedes McCambridge, Theodore Bikel, Gretchen Wyler, Lillia Scala, Brian Murray (Equus), and Kathy Rigby (Peter Pan). He says, any profession that pays one to make Captain Hook s pirate ship is a wonderful thing. Ken also enjoyed directing and designing Miami Acting Company s The Odd Couple and lighting design for Miami Acting Company s Sunshine Boys last fall.
