(b) This aerodrome is closed to aircraft on Sundays, except departures only may be permitted during 1500-1600 (local) and by arrangement. (c) Non-radio aircraft not accepted. 2 Ground Movement 3 CAT II/III Operations 4 Warnings (a) Pilots should exercise extreme caution when landing or taking-off at this aerodrome, which is markedly hump-backed. The gradients increase to as much as 1 in 13 at runway ends. (b) A perimeter road runs around the northern part of the aerodrome and the vehicular traffic is liable to cross the approach to Runway 14. (c) Locally based aircraft activity may take place outside of published hours, also SAR aircraft, air ambulance and Trinity House (Bond) Helicopters. (d) Runway 14 PAPI signals are visible to the east of the runway extended centre-line where normal obstacle clearance is not guaranteed. They should only be used when the aircraft is aligned with the runway. (e) Pilots of aircraft are cautioned to exercise great care when using the Runway 32 end turning circle due to the reduced clearance to the south-south-east where a granite outcrop inhibits the provision of normal taxiway clearances; consequently the reverse turn to line-up on Runway 32 should be commenced as soon as is practicable. (f) Turbulence and/or windshear may affect the final half mile of approaches to all runways and may be increased by valley effect and/or structures when using Runways 09, 14 or 27. (g) Buildings 28 ft aal adjacent to the northeast boundary. Building (Lgtd) 37 ft aal adjacent to the northwest boundary. 5 Helicopter Operations

UNITED KINGDOM AIP AD 2.EGHE-7 EGHE AD 2.20 LOCAL TRAFFIC REGULATIONS (continued) 6 Use of Runways 7 Training EGHE AD 2.21 NOISE ABATEMENT PROCEDURES EGHE AD 2.22 FLIGHT PROCEDURES 1 Lands End Transit Corridor (a) Passenger carrying flights regularly take place between Lands End Aerodrome and Scilly Isles/St Mary s Aerodrome. The flights, by both fixed-wing and helicopter aircraft, operate throughout the year but are particularly frequent during the holiday period March to October. (b) The aircraft operate within a corridor centred on the direct track from Penzance to Scilly Isles/St Mary s, mainly in the height band from the surface to 3500 ft. Aircraft operating under VFR may be asked to follow the northern (R254 LND) or southern (Track 254 M) route according to traffic and/or weather conditions in the corridor. (c) In addition, the airspace is also used by helicopters operating on behalf of Trinity House servicing the lighthouses in the area. These operations often entail the carrying of underslung loads which reduces aircraft manoeuvrability. (d) The corridor extends from the surface to 4000 ft within the area bounded by lines joining: 500200N 0053000W - 494924N 0061338W thence clockwise by the arc of a circle radius 6 nm centred on 495451N 0061728W (NDB(L) STM) to 500028N 0062042W - 501733N 0053000W - 500200N 0053000W. (e) The corridor lies within an area where considerable military helicopter and fixed-wing activity takes place. Pilots of aircraft intending to transit the Lands End Transit Corridor depicted at AD 2-EGHE-3-1 are strongly recommended to contact either Lands End ATC on 120.250 or St Mary s ATC on frequency 124.875 MHz 10 nm before the corridor boundary. Pilots of aircraft transiting the Culdrose AIAA should contact Culdrose ATC on frequency 134.050 MHz. 2 Instrument Approach Procedures (a) Instrument Approach Procedures (IAP) for this aerodrome are established outside controlled airspace. See ENR 1.5. 3 Visual Reference Points (VRP) (a) Visual Reference Points are established for use by aerodrome and en-route traffic as follows: Pendeen Lighthouse VRP St Martins Head (red and white daymark) 500955N 0054019W 495759N 0061558W Co-ordinates EGHE AD 2.23 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION EGHE AD 2.24 CHARTS RELATED TO AN AERODROME Figure: AERODROME CHART - ICAO AD 2-EGHE-2-1 Figure: LANDS END TRANSIT CORRIDOR CHART AD 2-EGHE-3-1 Figure: INSTRUMENT APPROACH CHART NDB(L) RWY 27 (ACFT CAT A) - ICAO AD 2-EGHE-8-1 Figure: INSTRUMENT APPROACH CHART NDB(L) RWY 32 (ACFT CAT A) - ICAO
