The film industry has been such a great experience for me to explore and expand on my efficiency and creativity. I find myself learning more and more on a daily basis throughout this great industry. I also have an ongoing professional education in film, including Columbia College Chicago, and the New Orleans Center for the Creative Arts, where I study film on a daily basis. Experience Scholastic Cinematic Arts Gold Key Winner at Scholastic Art and Writing December 2013 - Present (5 months) I won a Gold Key Award from Scholastic Art and Writing for two of my recent films. June 2010 - Present (3 years 11 months) My current job consist of radio broadcasting work, film management, and graphic design for this Sirius Sattelite station. NOCCA Film School Student at The NOCCA Institute 2010 - Present (4 years) At NOCCA, I study the fundamentals of film on a daily basis, and create a wide array of media related projects. The program has allowed me to expand on my cinematography studies, and gives me a lot of school credit. The Jolly Racket at 48 Hour Film Project November 2013 - November 2013 (1 month) On this shoot, for "The Jolly Racket" I was an AC, and a gaffer. The video won two awards including "Best for 48", and "Best Costume Design". The shoot entailed long hours, and a great amount of fun. TED Youth Video Team at TED Conferences November 2013 - November 2013 (1 month) On this Ted youth conference in New Orleans, I conducted over 40 interviews, shooting countless hours of footage. I was a camera operator for this amazing organization. NOCCA gave me this opportunity, and I could not be more satisfied with it. National Young Arts Cinematic Winner at National YoungArts Foundation November 2013 - November 2013 (1 month) I won the merit award from Young Arts in the Cinematic division. The same contest the previous year reeled in 25 cinematic winners out of 11,000 who submitted in the arts. Family Style TV Episode at Bellum Entertainment October 2013 - October 2013 (1 month) On this great cooking show, I was a camera operator for an entire episode. My job also consisted of concurrent DP work, which was a fun challenge considering it was live television. Abigail Duhon Short at Abigail Duhon Music Video October 2013 - October 2013 (1 month) On this great production, my job mainly consisted of AC work, and assisting the crane technician. "Just When you Thought" 48 Hour PGA at Producers Guild of America September 2013 - September 2013 (1 month) The Producers Guild of America held a short film contest, I helped a crew in New Orleans as a 2nd AC, Gaffer, PA. Scott Morrison's "Father Son" Film at 2nd AC / PA September 2013 - September 2013 (1 month) On this fun shoot, I worked very closely with the camera department. As an AC, I was a come to guy. "A Dame Called Humidity" Film at AC / PA Extra August 2013 - August 2013 (1 month) This short, directed by Charles Bodenheimer, was a great one where I helped as an AC, and even an extra. Columbia Chicago Film Courses 6 College Credits at Columbia College Chicago July 2013 - July 2013 (1 month) This course was an introduction to the visual art of filmmaking. Through the conceptual processes of screenwriting and storyboarding, I was taught shooting on a Bolex 16mm Camera. I created many short films during my time, and learned a whole lot. Page2
NOVAC Urban League Documentary at New Orleans Video Access Center June 2013 - June 2013 (1 month) On this shoot I was a come to guy when it came to lighting, cinematography, and assistant to the DP. Trash Dat Campaign PSA at City of New Orleans May 2013 - May 2013 (1 month) Working with director Milo Daegman, this PSA featured the fight against litter. I worked mainly as an AC/ PA, and overall a come to guy. Friendship Theorem Short at The NOCCA Institute April 2013 - April 2013 (1 month) In this wonderful narrative, written and directed by Lauren Armantrout, I was the cinematographer. I had fun lighting and giving visual to the great story. Two Bedroom one Bath Feature at Al Bravo Studios March 2013 - March 2013 (1 month) This feature was a lot of fun, I was assisting the camera crew while being the prop master's assistant. The job included 12 hour days, and taught me a lot about film production. Samaritan's Feet Documentary at Samaritan's Feet International March 2013 - March 2013 (1 month) I shot alongside a crew for the promotion of a charity organization "Samaritan's Feet". Channel 13 Documentary at Channel 13 St. Tammany Parish Public Schools/MVP Video Productions June 2012 - June 2012 (1 month) Working as a camera operator, and an Avid editor, I became a come to guy on the project. The documentary included countless interviews, and creative B-roll. I also won best film, and best overall film in 2014. I wrote, directed, and shot these pieces.
