They understand the needs of their clients and meet all of their expectations. Plus they provide full transparency. We finance, lease, and insure passenger cars and commercial vehicles from the Daimler Group, assist dealerships with the financing of showrooms and demonstration vehicles, optimize the fleets of commercial customers, and offer attractive banking services and credit cards. Financing We make the dream of vehicle ownership a reality. We offer attractive loans that give customers the freedom to choose the size of their down payment and the duration of their contract. This, in turn, gives them a say in determining their monthly payments. Our services guarantee customers a high level of fi nancial fl exibility, and ultimately make a car with the three-pointed star theirs to keep. Option fi nancing offers even greater freedom as it gives customers a number of choices at the end of the contract period. They can keep their vehicle by paying the residual value or utilizing follow-up fi nancing, or they can return the vehicle and immediately step into the latest model. Leasing We offer maximum fl exibility. Our leasing services allow customers to pay for the use of a vehicle rather than its purchase, and this means that they benefi t from low monthly payments. The monthly payment is calculated on the basis of the agreed-on mileage, the maintenance packages the customer has selected, the contract duration and, in some cases, a special one-off leasing payment. At the end of the contract period, customers can decide to switch to a new vehicle. This ensures that they can regularly look forward to the newest models. Car rental services We rent out cars with the star. Mercedes-Benz Rent closes the gap between leasing, fi nancing, and carsharing. Our customers can rent all available Mercedes-Benz models for both private and business use from our Mercedes- Benz Rent partners.
6 WORLD-CLASS FINANCIAL SERVICES Insurance We offer our customers reliable protection. Together with partners from the insurance industry, we develop customized automotive insurance solutions that also ensure damaged vehicles are repaired in line with Daimler s quality standards. Our Corporate Insurance unit also insures manufacturing sites, transports and shipments, and product liability risks borne by the Daimler Group. Fleet management We ensure smooth and efficient fl eet operation by offering our customers tailored fl eet management packages that include the purchase, use, and maintenance of their vehicles. Our specialists come up with appropriate fi nancing and leasing solutions and also handle all fl eet-related services such as repairs, tire changes, and fuel card management. If the customer wishes, we can also integrate electric vehicles into a fl eet or set up internal carsharing programs. Investment products and credit cards We create new opportunities. We offer credit cards that provide our customers around the world with fi nancial fl exibility and comprehensive protection in the form of breakdown, accident, and theft coverage for vehicles, as well as international travel health insurance and travel cancellation insurance. Mercedes-Benz Bank also offers attractive fi nancial investment options in Germany. Auto financing is a key factor in helping us sell more cars in China. Our close partnership with Daimler Financial Services has resulted in continuous growth in our auto financing penetration rate. 8 VELIA MOBILITY DE SAM SERVICES QUAS 9 Innovative mobility services Daimler Financial Services is striking out in new directions with regard to mobility. Our car2go brand has redefined carsharing and our mytaxi app has revolutionized the way people order a taxi. Our moovel mobility app allows customers to compare various transportation options and book and pay for the ones they use. We also have equity interests in the Blacklane professional driver service and the FlixBus long-distance bus company. Carsharing We keep you moving our car2go carsharing service allows you to rent a car on the spur of the moment anytime and then simply park it anywhere within the car2go business zone in that city when you re done. At the end of 2015, 1.2 million customers were enjoying our flexible mobility solutions, thanks to a fleet of about 14,500 smart vehicles operating in 31 locations worldwide. The rental transaction is processed completely via smartphone, and customers only pay for the amount of time they drive the car i.e. all parking fees, fuel costs, taxes, and insurance are included. car2go also operates all-electric fleets in some cities, which gives everyone a chance to see just what electric vehicles can do. Taxi We make taking a cab easier you can use our mytaxi app to order a taxi with your smartphone, get in touch with the driver at any time, choose a favorite driver, and rate a trip after you re done. The app can also be used to pay for the taxi ride using a smartphone. The receipt isn t printed out; instead, it s sent as a PDF to the customer s e-mail address. Connected mobility We find the best way to get you from A to B - with our moovel smartphone app. It allows customers to compare the cost and travel time of different mobility options such as carsharing, taxis, rental bikes and local public transportation and in many cases, the app then lets you book and pay for them straight away. In Germany, this works for trips with car2go, Flinkster, mytaxi and Deutsche Bahn as well as selected local public transport companies. In the U.S., the mobile ticketing solution of the moovel-subsidiary company GlobeSherpa helps customers to book and pay tickets for local public transportation in cities such as San Francisco and Chicago.

16 CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY 17 The world behind the numbers For Daimler Financial Services, social responsibility and high employer appeal are two sides of the same coin. That s because we want to fulfill our corporate social responsibilities and also be the world s best employer for employees and job applicants. We strive to achieve both of these goals, and we do so with commitment and enthusiasm. Daimler Financial Services is involved in social and cultural initiatives around the world. This commitment is an integral part of our corporate culture. In 2015 alone, 2,400 employees took part in charitable social projects around the world. In this way we give something back to society and ensure that working at Daimler Financial Services will continue to be a special experience. Corporate volunteering. At Daimler Financial Services there are many opportunities to volunteer for instance, on the Day of Caring. On this day, Daimler Financial Services employees get one day off from work so that they can take part in social projects in their communities. Among other things, our employees refurbished a home for the blind in Germany in 2015, and during the Week of Caring in North and South America they helped out in over 20 different institutions for an entire week. SOS Children s Villages and Habitat for Humanity are among our strategic partners for these and many other projects. With the Inspiring Ideas initiative, we also encourage colleagues to volunteer in their free time. If three or more employees make a commitment to the same cause, Daimler Financial Services covers the costs of implementing their project, up to a certain limit.

Our partnership with the Beyond Basics program has enabled us to help students at a public school in the Detroit metropolitan area develop their talents and strengths through special courses that promote academic excellence and expand the participants horizons. The project supports socially disadvantaged children and teenagers and provides them with additional educational opportunities. Since the partnership was initiated, several hundred employees have taken part in a number of volunteer programs for Beyond Basics. Sponsorship of art and culture. Art and culture promote innovative thinking and provide momentum for social and economic progress. For this reason, Daimler Financial Services supports projects and institutions that promote culture and the arts around the world. These partnerships are not only good for the benefi ciaries; they also benefi t our workforce. In Berlin, for example, our employees have free access to 25 cultural institutions, including the Old National Gallery and the German Historical Museum. In Stuttgart, Mercedes-Benz Bank is the main partner of the cultural institution Theaterhaus which offers our employees discounted tickets for a large number of events. In addition, in 2015 the bank was the main sponsor of the dance festival COLOURS International Dance Festival (see picture at the bottom). We are also active in Saarbrücken, where we cooperate with the Saarländisches Staatstheater to offer our employees discounted tickets to the ballet, theater, and opera (see picture in the middle). In the United States and Canada, Daimler Financial Services cultivates partnerships with renowned arts academies such as the Cranbrook Academy of Arts in Michigan and the Ontario College of Art and Design, and with Southern Methodist University and Texas Christian University. Once a year, for example, a student of the Cranbrook Acadamy is awarded with the Emerging Artist Award (2015: Aaron Patrick Decker, see picture at the top) and receives a scholarship that allows the student to live and work in Berlin for several weeks. As a result of these partnerships, art students and employees of Daimler Financial Services are able to engage in a dialogue about art and innovation.

The car2go cares fundraising drive in Germany raises 40,000 for the SOS Children's Village holiday camp in Caldonazzo, Italy. The carsharing company automatically donated one euro for every customer who rented a car2go vehicle for more than ten minutes. Constructive. A groundbreaking ceremony is held to mark the official start of construction of a new corporate headquarters for Daimler Financial Services AG in Stuttgart. The new facility will be able to accommodate as many as 600 employees. Innovative. car2go is relying on smartphone technology in more and more cities, as a new generation of telematics systems is making it possible to open more and more car2go vehicles using the car2go app. Preferred. The mytaxi app receives the Travellers Choice Award from TripAdvisor as the best transport app. More than 180,000 travelers participated in the voting for the Travellers Choice Awards, which are presented by the TripAdvisor travel website to the most popular brands.

Mercedes-Benz Bank is the main sponsor of the COLOURS International Dance festival, which takes place in Stuttgart for the first time. The bank also manages the Dance for Good initiative, which gets people on the street to dance and donate, and whose proceeds are used, among other things, to support underage refugees. Young and hip. The Great Place to Work Institute and Fortune magazine name Mercedes-Benz Financial Services USA one of 100 Best Workplaces for Millennials in the United States. Wearable. Mercedes-Benz Financial Services Singapore becomes the world s first automotive financial services company to send financing information directly to customers Apple Watches. The mytaxi app is also being linked with Apple Watches: Just one tap on the watch is all it takes to order a taxi. Partnered. Daimler Financial Services and the Deutsche Bahn railway company launch a partnership by linking the car2go and Flinkster carsharing services, thereby making more than 7,000 vehicles available to customers in Germany. Mobile. The Austin-based RideScout mobility platform, which is a moovel subsidiary, acquires GlobeSherpa, an up-and-coming provider of mobile payment services headquartered in Portland, Oregon. In demand. The convenient and easy-to-use mytaxi app is launched in 2015 in Milan, Valencia, Seville, Krakow, and Lisbon. Q3 Hands-on. Toll Collect, in which Daimler Financial Services holds a 45-percent interest, expands the truck toll system in Germany on behalf of the country s Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure: Beginning on October 1, vehicles of 7.5 tons GVW and up are also subject to a toll on Germany s autobahns. Appointed. Yvonne Rosslenbroich becomes the new Head of Human Resources at Daimler Financial Services, replacing Dr. Dieter Buhl, who retires after serving for six years in that position. Rosslenbroich previously managed the company s business operations in Spain and Mexico. Welcome. Daimler Financial Services acquires the Welcome Group, the sales financing division of Wiesenthal Autohandels AG in Austria. Tickets for the local public transportation system in Stuttgart can now be purchased and paid for using the moovel app. The app therefore not only provides information on the best transportation options, but also delivers tickets directly to the user s smartphone.
