Our company General Manager Supply Chain Planning Bridgestone Europe (BSEU) is a key regional subsidiary of Tokyo-based Bridgestone Corporation, the world s largest manufacturer of tires and other rubber products. BSEU was created in 1972 and holds its head office in Zaventem, Belgium. Today, BSEU employs 12,500 staff throughout Europe. Most of Bridgestone Europe s sales come from the aftermarket, where tires are sold through a network of distributors and dealers to consumers. Responsibilities & accountabilities The head of SCP manages the overall Sales & Operations Planning process across a footprint of 10 manufacturing sites and various overseas sources supporting the European Strategic Business Unit. You will be operating as an individual contributor working cross functionally with stakeholders from finance, sales, marketing, manufacturing, logistics and supply chain to lead the global S&OP process and enable the executive/leadership team to continually achieve synchronization across the organization. This includes strategic and tactical decision-making related to balancing supply and demand; aligning volume and mix with capacity and capability; managing the EOL and NPI phases; and supporting the integration of the financial and operating plans to deliver improved operating and financial results. You will serve as a consolidation point creating a robust communication system between sales, R&D and operations. Key responsibilities encompasses: 1. Overall accountability for the execution of the industrialization planning, production planning, import planning, distribution planning processes, product data management, and pro-active & balanced communication of issues (~50%) 2. SAP/APO and OMP business process ownership (~30%) 3. Development of people and organization (~20%) Quantitative data Yearly flow of circa 40 M units across 5000 IPC to manage both in production across 10 plants, in distribution across 30 DCs and in sales & delivery towards tenth of thousands of delivery points Has a strong influence on logistic costs of circa 250M and on manufacturing activities of several thousand people Also contributes to execution of sales worth several billions Euros / year across Europe Lead directly a central planning team made of 30-40 individuals including projects Other qualitative data Business environment : Highly competitive business sector with several key, global competitors distributing through many of the same or similar channels. Success depends heavily on product availability, reliability of delivery and responsiveness to customer demands.

Major challenges : Authority and autonomy : Working relationships (internal & external) : Ensure that excellent planning and utilization of sales forecast and production capacity maximizes potential sales at minimum logistics costs whilst respecting customer service expectations. KRA Title: Key Result Areas (KRA) Supply Chain Planning 1 Main accountabilities: KPI: Guide the team in setting up a balanced master plan and detailed plan which takes into account operations efficiency, inventory and customer service. Be accountable for the team results and objectives by setting an executable plan for production, on time availability of finished products towards customers. Create and maintain relationships, internally and externally, that allow the supply base to interpret demand and inventory requirements and respond with the right capacity, products and schedules to meet customer requirements. Proactively identify constraints or potential issues and develop options for resolution. Develop an annual business plan that meet demand and inventory expectations and ensure its attainment. Lead the S&OP process by ensuring the functions adhere to the Monthly Planning Process and provides input into the management reviews. Ensure accuracy of the planning parameters within relevant systems. Production Plan attainment vs request & agreed OTIF (On Time In Full for customer orders) Inventory level total and by segment Stock outs Inventory quality: vs target, obsoletes, ages, etc. Logistic Costs to Serve Global Supply Costs Contribution to bottom line optimisation through best global optimum achievement 2 3 KRA Title: Main accountabilities: KPI: KRA Title Main accountabilities: KPI: SAP/APO and OMP Business Process Owner Lead the implementation of an end-to-end planning suite throughout Product Lifecycle Management, Demand Planning, Inventory Planning, Supply Planning and Distribution Planning. Translate and validate the business requirements into process requirements Understand the consequence of the planning process changes for the organization Align with the key stakeholders to get the most out of process changes Project delivered in spec, in budget and on time. Business case delivered. Development of people and organization Accountable for the further development of the capabilities of the team. Ensure recruitment, development and retention of high performing associates, including career paths in order to develop global leadership. Develop and maintain objectives, development plans, performance reviews and succession plans for all associates. Performance review completion rate, engagement index, succession and career path in place

Credentials Education (type & level) : Professional certification(s) : Professional experience : MS/MBA degree in Business, Logistics, Economics, Supply Chain or similar areas is required Industry relevant certifications (i.e. LEAN, Six Sigma, APICS) o 10-15 years of experience in SCM (Supply Chain Management) o Preferably within the FMCG or life science or other sectors with high upstream complexity o In depth planning experience in complex muti-source multi country environment o With general knowledge of all supply chain functions: logistic, customer service, procurement, o Experience in manufacturing and/or in sales is an advantage o Knowledge and in-depth experience of SAP/APO or other similar planning suite (APS) is required. o A minimum of 5-7 years people management/supervisory experience is required. o Excellent communication and presentation skills to all levels and all functions in the organisation o Ability to make executive presentations to top management o Multi-cultural, experience in pan-european / multi-country environment Specific behavior / attitudes : o Proven business acumen in the area of Supply Chain and Financials. o Entrepreneur spirit, capability to make decisions considering the wide company picture beyond pure functional perspective o Clear understanding of external Supply Chain trends. o Ability to embed a culture of harmonization and process improvement and value creation. o Collaborates effectively to achieve performance improvement. o Establishes effective communications and common goals and objectives. o Strong analytical and quantitative skills o Capability to lead transversally, to actively listen to all functions interests and sell some consensus o Strength in interdependent partnering and team management. o Ability to manage multiple initiatives and work in a matrix environment where priorities change rapidly and tight deadlines exist.
