Ethernet Cable Handset Cd IP Phone Stand Handset Quick Start Guide Power Adapter (Optional) Assembling the Phone 1.Attach the stand,as shown below: A Desk Mount Method 2 1 B Wall Mount Method 2.Connect the handset and optional headset, as shown below: Note: The headset should be purchased separately. 1

3.Connect the netwk and power, as shown below : You have two option f netwk and power connections. Your system administrat will advise you on which one to use. Power Adapter (DC 5V) PC Connection (Optional) A AC Power Option B PoE ( Power over Ethernet ) Option IEEE 802.3af compliant PoE Hub/Switch PC Connection (Optional) Note: PoE is only applicable to SIP-T22P IP phone. If inline power (PoE) is provided, you don t need to connect the power adaper. Make sure the hub/switch is PoE-compliant. Startup After the IP phone is connected to the netwk and supplied with power, it automatically begins the initialization process. After startup, the Sign In screen appears on the phone LCD screen. Refer to Sign-in on page 3 to sign in to Lync server. Initializing Please wait... 2

Sign-in Sign in via phone user interface: The following two sign-in methods are suppted: User Credentials You need to enter the following: The Lync user s sign-in name (e.g., user1@yealinkuc.com). Sign-in address: User name: The Lync user name (e.g., yealinkuc.com\user1). Passwd: The sign-in passwd. PIN Authentication You need to enter the following: Extension: PIN: The Lync user s phone number extension (e.g., 2216). The personal identification number (e.g., user2216). The Sign In screen appears on the LCD screen after the phone startup. Enter the sign-in infmation accding to the sign-in screen. You can also exit the Sign In screen first, and then do the following steps to select the desired sign-in method and sign in. 1. the Sign In soft key when the phone is idle. 2. Select the desired sign-in method. 3. Enter the sign-in infmation of the Lync user in the cresponding fields. 4. the Sign In soft key. Sign in via web user interface: Only User Credentials method is suppted. Do the following steps to sign in via web user interface. 1. on the phone to obtain the IP address, enter the IP address in the address bar of web browser on your PC, and then press the Enter key. 2. Enter the user name and passwd in the login page, the default administrat user name and passwd are both admin (case-sensitive). 3. Click Confirm. 4. Click on Account->Register. 5. You need to enter the following: Login address: The Lync user s sign-in name (e.g., user1@yealinkuc.com). Register Name: The Lync user name (e.g., yealinkuc.com\user1). Passwd The sign-in passwd. 6. Click Confirm to login. If the Lync server is configured to fcibly lock the phone. You need to configure an unlock PIN befe login. When your phone logins to the Microsoft Lync server successfully, the phone is ready to place and receive phone calls, and the presence icon appears on the LCD screen. Note: Make sure the netwk connection is crect befe login. By default, the phone attempts to contact a DHCP server in your netwk to obtain its valid netwk settings. Contact your system administrat f me infmaiton. Note: Check with your system administrat if any err appears during the sign-in process if a specific configuration is required. 3

Basic Call Features Placing a Call Using the handset: 1. Pick up the handset. 2. Enter the number, and then press the Call soft key. Using the speakerphone: 1. With the handset on-hook, press. 2. Enter the number, and then press the Call soft key. Using the headset: 1. With the headset connected, enter the number. to activate the headset mode, and then press the Call soft key. 2. Note: During a call, you can alternate between the headset, hands-free speakerphone and handset modes by pressing the HEADSET key, the Speakerphone key by picking up the handset. Headset mode requires a connected headset. Answering a Call Using the handset: Pick up the handset. Using the speakerphone:. Using the headset:. Note: You can igne an incoming call by pressing the Reject soft key. Ending a Call Using the handset: Hang up the handset press the Cancel soft key. Using the speakerphone: the Cancel soft key. Using the headset: the Cancel soft key. Redial to enter the Placed Calls list, press to select the desired call, and then press the Call soft key. twice when the phone is idle to call the last dialed number. Call Mute and Un-mute to mute the call. again to un-mute the call. Call Hold and Resume To place a call on hold: the Hold soft key during an active call. The line key LED flashes green. To resume the call, do one of the following: If there is only one call on hold, press the Resume soft key. 4

If there is me than one call on hold, press key. to select the desired call, and then press the Resume soft Call Transfer You can transfer a call in the following ways: Blind Transfer 1. the Tran soft key during an active call. The call is placed on hold. 2. Enter the number press the Contact soft key to select the desired contact from the contact list you want to transfer the call to. 3. the Tran soft key. Attended Transfer 1. the Tran soft key during an active call. The call is placed on hold. 2. Enter the number press the Contact soft key to select the desired contact from the contact list you want to transfer to, and then press. 3. the Tran soft key when the second party answers. Call Fward To enable call fward: 1. the Menu soft key when the phone is idle, and then select Features->Fward. You can also press to enter the call fward setting screen. 2. Do one of the followings: a. Select Fward to Voice Mail. Incoming calls will be fwarded to voice mail. b. Select Fward Calls to.... Enter a phone number select a contact that you want to fward incoming calls to. c. Select Simultaneously Ring.... Enter a phone number select a contact that you want to ring simultaneously. 3. the OK soft key to accept the change. To disable call fward:, 1. the Menu soft key when the phone is idle and then select Features->Fward. You can also press to enter the call fward setting screen. 2. Select Turn Off. 3. the OK soft key to accept the change. To fward an incoming call dynamically: 1. the Fwd soft key when the phone receives an incoming call 2. Enter a number that you want to fward the incoming call to. 3. the OK soft key. Call Conference 1. the Add soft key during an active call. The call is placed on hold. 2. Enter the number of the second party, and then press the Call soft key. 3. the Conf soft key when the second party answers the call. All parties are now joined in the conference. 4. the Cancel soft key to disconnect all parties. Note: You can split the conference call into two individual calls by pressing the Split soft key. 5

Voice Mail Message waiting indicat on the idle screen indicates that one me voice mails are waiting at the message center. The message key LED lights up. To listen to voice mails: the Call soft key. 1. 2. Follow the voice prompts to listen to your voice mails. Change Presence Status Your presence status is constantly updated by the Lync server. The presence status on the phone is synchronized with the Lync server. You can manually change your presence status. F example, if you've got a deadline, you can change your status to Do Not Disturb to avoid being disturbed. 1. the Status soft key when the phone is idle. 2. to select the desired presence status. 3. the OK soft key. You can select Reset Status to reset the presence status to Available. Phone Features Call Histy 1. the Histy soft key when the phone is idle, press to scroll through the list. 2. Select an entry from the list, you can do one of the followings: the Call soft key to place a call. the Delete soft key to delete the entry from the list. the Detail soft key to view detailed infmation about the entry. Contact Directy To search f a contact: 1. the Contact soft key when the phone is idle. 2. the Search soft key. 3. digit keys to enter the first few continuous characters of the contact name the contact number using the keypad (e.g., press the digit key 5 to search letters 5, j, k and l ). The contacts that meet search criteria will appear on the LCD screen. You can dial from the result list. To view a contact: 1. the Contact soft key when the phone is idle. 2. to select the desired group. 3. to select the desired contact, press the Detail soft key. To place a call to a contact: 1. the Contact soft key when the phone is idle. 2. to select the desired group. 3. to select the desired contact. 4. the Call soft key. Volume Adjustment headset. during a call to adjust the receiver volume of the handset/speakerphone/ when the phone is idle to adjust the ringer volume. BToE (Better Together over Ethernet) Microsoft Lync BToE feature enables the SIP-T22P/SIP-T22 IP phone to interoperate with a Lync client f third party call control.you can place, answer, and hold calls from your phone and the Lync client on your PC/PAD simultaneously.
