WELCOME I would first like to thank all of our attendees, sponsors and partners for their contributions in making the 2014 GSMA Mobile 360 Series a major success for the industry. This year marked an expansion of the series to four total events across the globe, with conferences in Atlanta, Brussels, Cape Town and Dubai. More than 1,400 people attended one of our Mobile 360 events spanning eight days of influential industry discussions, with unparalleled support amongst the C-suite of each region's leading companies. CEOs and senior representatives from a variety of organisations collaborated across the entire series. Mobile Operators comprised 33% of total attendees at the Mobile 360 Series, representing more than 450 individuals over the course of the four events. MOBILE 360 SERIES OVERVIEW The 2014 GSMA Mobile 360 Series offered senior executives in the mobile industry a platform to meet and discuss the key issues specific to a region or country. This conference series focused on regional issues while bringing together global leaders from operators, regulators, and governmental bodies to discuss the complex issues affecting the mobile industry in specific geographic areas. NORTH AMERICA The first-ever Mobile 360 North America event, held 22-23 September, saw great success with over 275 senior executives, regulatory officials, industry leaders and press in attendance. Executives at the event represented prominent companies including AT&T, Airwatch, The Coca-Cola Company, Ericsson, Jasper, Verizon, Visa, ZTE, and many others. As a feature of the North American event, the GSMA Showcase offered a close look at GSMA programmes and initiatives in Connected Living, Digital Commerce, Personal Data, and Network 2020 through virtual experiences and demonstrations. Mobile 360 North America was pleased to be co-located with Mobility LIVE! 2014. MIDDLE EAST Our second annual GSMA Mobile 360 Middle East conference, held on 13-14 October, continued the regional event s overwhelming success in the region. The event exceeded expectations with more than 400 senior executives, regulatory officials, industry leaders and press in attendance. Many prominent companies from the region were represented, including du, Etisalat, Huawei, Microsoft, Mobily, Nokia, Ooredoo, Orange, STC, VIVA Kuwait, Vodafone Egypt, Zain Group and others. AFRICA Our inaugural Mobile 360 Africa event, held on 5-7 November in Cape Town, exceeded expectations with over 400 senior executives, NGOs, industry leaders and press in attendance. The event was enhanced by representation by prominent companies in the region including Airtel, Ericsson, MasterCard, MTN, Orange, Safaricom, Vital Wave, Vodacom, and many others. EUROPE The GSMA Mobile 360 Europe conference, held on 8 December, saw great success in the collaboration of government officials and the mobile industry to address growth in the European Union through mobility. Representation by prominent companies and organisations including AT&T, Deutsche Telekom, Ericsson, European Commission, European Parliament, Telecom Italia and Telenor Group, among others, supported enthusiastic discussions throughout the event.
