Future Comes With ICT The ICT Industry in Figures Market Share of the ICT Industry: The total size of the ICT industry reached a volume of 69.4 billion Turkish Liras in 2014 with a growth of 12.1%. The total size of the industry consisted of Communication technologies with 48.9 billion TL and information technologies with 20.4 billion TL. Direct added value to Turkey's economic performance The volumes for the year of 2014 in the sub-categories of the information technologies industry as it reached 20.4 billion Turkish Liras were like this: Information technologies hardware - 10.6 billion TL Information technologies software - 6.3 billion TL Information technologies services - 3.6 billion TL Technology for social welfare and for rapid increase in economic growth Expectation for Growth in 2016 A growth of about 11 to 15% is expected in the industry for 2016 and it is mentioned that R&D investment and innovation will play the largest role in that growth. On the other hand, according to research, the companies in the industry think that public procurements will have a positive impact on growth in 2016. According to recent data, the largest growth occurred in the software and hardware category of information technologies with a percentage of 12.3%. This way, the share of the software industry in the entire information technologies reached 30% in line with the desired distribution. The volumes for the year of 2014 in the subcategories of the communication technologies industry, which has a volume of 48.9 billion TL are as follows: Communication technologies hardware - 13.4 billion TL Communication technologies electronic communications - 35.5 billion TL Increasing significance of Innovation and R&D Export is approaching 1.5 billion TL and the country where most export is made is Azerbaijan.
