Data Plans for GPS 6500 Units with a Rover Bundle With the new GPS 6500 s there has been a lot of questions about how to activate the cell plan when you buy a Rover Bundle with the GPS 6500. The CDMA Rover Bundle is specifically for use with Verizon. There is also a GSM Rover Bundle that is specifically for use with AT & T. The vendor recommends that we work with the data activation center, phone number 866-966- 8881, website www.dataactivationcenter.com Before you call or go online, you will need your MEID number that is located on the receiver at the bottom. I have put a business activation template and a personal activation template below for information that they may need to do your activation. Also located below are activation instructions for both the GSM (AT & T) and CDMA (Verizon) Relay Activations. Navigate to www.dataactivationcenter.com and click on the Activate Now button. 2. Select AT&T. a. If you don t have an existing AT&T account, a new one will be created.
b. Allow 2-3 days for AT&T activations. 3. Fill out the required information, including any existing Verizon account information. 4. Locate the IMEI on your Relay-GSM and enter the number exactly as shown. 5. Submit your information and Data Activation Center will contact you directly to verify your information and activate your device within 24 hours. 6. Leave the Relay GSM powered off until you receive an email from the Order Processing Team confirming the cellular activation has been completed. ACTIVATING: 1. A SIM card will be shipped to you. 2. Insert the SIM card in the back of the unit, behind the SIM card door.- It is a push-pull style slot. 3. Once your data plan is active, you must power the system and enter any APN, user name or password, as required by the network. Press: Home button > Setup (wrench) button > GPS button > Serial (from Receiver drop-down box) > Receiver Setup (wrench) button > General tab > RTK (from Differential Correction drop-down box) > Differential Source Setup (wrench) button - Typical setting for AT&T is APN = broadband - User name and password are generally not required for AT&T

ACTIVATING: Once your data plan is active, power the system and activate your device using the Ag Leader display. Press: Home button > Setup (wrench) button > GPS button > Serial (from Receiver drop-down box) > Receiver Setup (wrench) button > General tab > RTK (from Differential Correction drop-down box) > Differential Source Setup (wrench) button > Press the Activate button OVER THE AIR ACTIVATION

DATA ACTIVATION CENTER HOURS OF SERVICE Monday through Friday 9:00am 5:00pm EST IMPORTANT NOTES When activating a Verizon data plan, the Relay-CDMA must be communicating with the Verizon tower. If communicating with a non-verizon tower, the plan will not initialize. Once the plan is active, the Relay-CDMA will connect to any non-verizon towers that Verizon has roaming agreements with. Verify Verizon coverage for your area by visiting www.verizonwireless.com - Search for Coverage Locator - Select the Data Coverage button and refresh the map - Confirm you are inside the 3G or 1x Data Coverage area The cost is $50/month and you will have to keep the plan active at least 6 months during the year, but you can split up that 6 months total between the fall and spring. You will need to use the online method below to suspend the plan, otherwise you will be billed $50/month for 12 months. Important Message to Customer: Your embedded modem activated with Verizon Wireless can be suspended without billing for a maximum of 180 days in a 12 month period. The contract will be extended by the number of days the service is suspended without billing. After the service has been suspended without billing for 90 days, the service may be automatically reactivated depending on the reason for the suspension. After it has been reactivated, you may suspend the service again for another 90 days without billing. Suspension Process: Online go to www.verizonwireless.com and register for a My Verizon account. During the registration process the system will state it is sending your handset a temporary password. Since the device you have activated cannot receive text messages you will receive a letter from Verizon Wireless with your temporary password. Once you have received your letter you can
sign on with this password and follow the prompts from the system. Once registration is complete you can sign in and suspend service yourself. Currently there is no charge to suspend service when requesting it via your online account. Call Verizon Wireless Customer Support (800) 922-0204 and request a Suspension of Service. Prepare to provide the 10 digit mobile number and reason for request. (Ex: This device will not be in use for 2 months due to the seasonal nature of our business.) Currently there is a $15 fee to suspend service via the toll free number above.
