Courses Offered & Enrolment Process Mercury Colleges is currently running courses in: English as a Second Language General English Courses IELTS Preparation Courses English For Academic Purposes (EAP) Business Courses Cert III in Business BSB30107 Cert IV in Business BSB40207 Diploma of Management BSB51107 Entry Requirements IELTS score of 5.5 or equivalent Qualify for mature-age entry (over 18 years old at the time of enrolment); Students need to check course profile and student handbook for specific course entry requirements. There are no entry requirements for General English. University Links Graduates of Mercury Colleges Diploma program are able to claim credits from several Australian universities. How to Apply Selection and enrolment at Mercury Colleges is carried out in an ethical and responsible manner and we encourage people to apply for enrolment without discrimination through a variety of means. Individual interviews are conducted to ensure applicants meet the entry requirements, are well informed and provide us with the opportunity to identify any special requirements the applicant may have. All successful applicants complete an orientation program the first day of the course to familiarise them with the College s services, facilities and procedures and will be provided with the copy of the Orientation Guide and Student Handbook prior to enrolment. You will receive an answer from us within few working days if you have been accepted into the college or not. Students can claim credits/advanced standing for up to one year of university studies at several Australian universities. Please ask for our current articulation arrangement with universities.

It costs between AUD$18,000 to AUD$21,000 per year for accommodation, food, transport, clothing, medical and entertainment. You must add an additional 35% for a spouse and 15% 20% per dependant. It is registered by VETAB to issue the following qualifications: - Certificate III in Business BSB30107 - Certificate IV in Business BSB40207 - Diploma of Management BSB51107 The qualifications are recognised nationally in post-compulsory education and training within Australia under the Australian Government s Australian Qualifications Training Framework (AQTF). Orientation Days Orientation Days at the start of the term play an important role in finalising registration, timetables, course selection etc and provide a valuable opportunity for students to get to know the staff. Social Programs We provide students with the information and opportunities to participate in a number of social activities throughout their course. These may include sporting activities, sightseeing, barbeques, river cruises, nature walks, parties, cultural events and festivals. Airport Pick-Up We arrange airport pick-up on request to make sure that our students feel welcome on their first day of arrival in Australia and escort them to their pre-arranged accommodation. General Help and Counselling At Mercury Colleges we understand that when students come to Australia they are faced with different problems. We also provide a college counsellor to work with Student having difficulty with course work or personal problems. Job Placement We provide job placement to our students and assist them in finding the job of their choice at an extra cost. We also help in improving presentation and interview skills and in preparing resumés. Work Opportunities and Visa Assistance Mercury Colleges Student Services Department assists overseas students to gain a working permit during the period of their studies at Mercury Colleges. Medical Insurance All international students are required to have Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC). Mercury Colleges can arrange medical insurance for students. All fees for OSHC are to be paid at the same time as the tuition fees. We also assist students in finding accommodation of their choice. Language Assistance We have multi-lingual staff to help overseas students with any difficulties they may encounter.
