Health Science Center AirWatch Installation and Enrollment Instructions For Apple ios 8 Devices Following are the steps necessary to register and enroll an Apple ios 8 device with the University s AirWatch Mobile Device Management system. Should you have any questions or experience issues following this document, please contact the Support Desk at 567 7777. Preparation If you have never used your ios device to access your University e mail, please proceed to Step 1. Otherwise, please perform the following steps prior to beginning the AirWatch installation and enrollment process. 1. Go to Settings Mail, Contacts, Calendars on your Apple IOS 8 device 2. Tap your existing corporate University email account 3. Scroll to the bottom and click Delete Account 4. Push the home button to return to your home screen 1
Step 1 Browse to AWAgent.com On you mobile device, open your web browser and go to http://awagent.com. Once there, you ll see the following screen. Tap the button which reads Download AirWatch MDM Agent from the Apple AppStore. 2
Step 2 Install the AirWatch MDM Agent App Once you re at the Apple App Store, you ll be presented with the following screen. Click the blue FREE button to select the AirWatch MDM Agent. 3
Tap the green INSTALL button to install the AirWatch MDM Agent. You may be asked to enter your itunes password. This is normal and expected. The AirWatch MDM Agent will begin installing. 4
Step 3 Open the AirWatch MDM Agent App Once the AirWatch MDM Agent has installed, you ll be presented with the following screen. Tap the blue OPEN button to continue. 5
Step 4 Enter Email Address The AirWatch MDM Agent app will run, and you ll see the following screen. Tap the white bar which reads user@example.com. Your ios keyboard will pop up. Enter your University e mail address, then tap the Continue button. 6
tep 5 Welcome to AirWatch You will now see the Welcome to AirWatch screen. Tap the Continue button. 7
Step 6 Enter Your Credentials The next screen, seen below, will ask for your University username and password. Once you ve entered these, tap Continue. Your device will then authenticate with the network. 8
Step 7 Specify Device Type You must now specify your device type. Tap the grey down arrow on the right of your screen to see and make your selection. Your choices are: Corporate Dedicated: This device was purchased and is owned by the University. The device is used exclusively for Health Science Center business. Employee Owned: This device was purchased and is owned by you. The device is primarily used for your personal business, but will occasionally be used for University business. Once you have made your selection, tap the Continue button. 9
Step 8 Terms of Use You will then be presented with the University s Terms of Use. You will need to scroll in order to read the entire document. Once you have read the terms of use, tap the Accept or Decline button. If you decline the terms of use, your device will not be registered or enrolled, and you will not be allowed to conduct University business on the device; i.e., you will not have access to email using the device. 10
Step 9 Install Profile Once the terms of use have been accepted, you ll see the following Install Profile screen shown below. Tap the Install button to proceed. 11
Step 10 Passcode Entry If you have a passcode on your device, you will now be asked to enter it. If you don t have a passcode, you will need to create one and enter it here. 12
Step 11 Confirm Profile Installation You will then be presented with a confirmation prompt. Tap the Install button to proceed. 13
Step 12 Apple Warning You will now see Apple s standard warning. Please be advised this is a standard warning. For example, University IT does not collect personal data, monitor your Internet access, or read your e mail. Tap the blue Install button at the upper right of the window to proceed. 14
Step 13 Remote Management You will be prompted to trust the Mobile Device Management profile to remotely manage your device. Tap the red Trust button. 15
Step 14 Profile Installation Confirmed The profile will then install and you ll see the following window. Tap the blue Done button in the upper right corner of the screen to continue. 16
Step 15 Junos Pulse Installation You will then be informed that AirWatch is about to install the Junos Pulse app from the App Store. This app is used to access University resources when you are away from the campus. It s a free application and your itunes account will not be charged. Tap the blue Install button to proceed with the installation. Note: This could take a minute or so to launch depending on your current network connection performance. 17
Step 16 Current Location You may be informed that AirWatch would like to use your current location. If this is a University owned device, you should tap the blue Allow button. This will allow us to find or track the device should it ever be reported stolen. If this is a personally owned device, feel free to tap the blue Don t Allow button. However, you should consider installing Apple s Find My iphone application in the event your device is ever lost or stolen. NOTE: If you are not prompted with this screen immediately, please proceed to the next step. 18
Step 17 Enrollment Complete The final screen is informational only. Shown below, it indicates the device is enrolled and connected. Feel free to click around various options. You can return to this screen any time by using the AirWatch app. Once you re satisfied, click your device s home button to return to your home screen. To access e mail and connect to Wi Fi, please proceed to the next step. 19
Step 18 University E mail Access and Wi Fi Tap on the Mail icon on your ios device. If you are enrolling your device at the Health Science Center, you will be prompted with the HSCwave Wi Fi certificate;, tap Accept Certificate. 20
Enter your University username and password, then tap Join to auto configure Wi Fi. Enter your University password, then tap the blue OK button. You may now access your Health Science Center e mail. Congratulations! AirWatch is now installed on your device. 21
