Strategic Management and Leadership CMI Level 7 Diploma Student Profile Gemma McNally Gemma is currently Manager at the impressive Mama and Papas store in Victoria Square Belfast. She has a strong academic background and over five years experience at store manager level. Gemma enrolled on the CMI Level 7 programme to add a relevant management qualification to her list of attributes and appeal to other employers outside of the retail sector. She also felt the CMI course was attractive in terms of cost and was more relevant to her working life. Gemma comments This qualification has allowed me to get more involved in head office projects which I have used as part of my assignments. I have been given good support throughout this programme but have worked independently throughout my assignments although that is also a reflection on my own learning styles. The tutors on the course varied the teaching methods which kept it interesting and the fact that there are no exams was one of the main reasons I decided to do the course. I would highly recommend this course although it really is hard work especially when you are working full time in the retail environment. It is extremely challenging, but a challenge I have enjoyed. 4
