Sunday 26th June 2016 The Rotary Club of Forfar is proud to present its first Strathmore Classic Car Tour, on Sunday 26th of June 2016, in aid of the Scotland's Charity Air Ambulance. We are planning a comprehensive drive of approximately 120 miles to show you the best of one of the most beautiful parts of Scotland, with mile after mile of quiet and scenic roads. The tour will conclude with a high tea at the picturesque Glamis Castle and will feature the event s presentations and prize giving. There will be ample photo opportunities at the Castle. We are grateful to our main sponsor, Fisken Motor Group, and all our other sponsors for their help and support. We are also grateful to the Strathmore Vintage Vehicle Club for their help, support and guidance. The Scotland s Charity Air Ambulance provides a fully equipped medical helicopter which can be deployed from its base at Perth Airport to incidents throughout Scotland. It will reach 90% of Scotland s population within 25 minutes and can reach some of our remotest areas within 15 to 30 minutes. The Air Ambulance has responded to hundreds of 999 calls and has attended trauma emergencies including road traffic accidents as well as equestrian, skiing, hill walking and sporting incidents. It has also responded to emergencies such as heart attacks, seizures and strokes, where saving time is crucial for a good recovery. The charity relies entirely on support from the general public and further information can be found at www.scaa.org.uk
