However, the limitation on budget allocated for the maintenance/repair/renewal of infrastructures requires socioeconomic concept in addition to engineering knowledge. JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency) is actively promoting the technical assistance for road asset management in Vietnam so that the strong interest for asset management is emerging. In addition, an international standard for the asset management system was published in January, 2014. From such a viewpoint, Kyoto University decided to provide a course aiming at providing the fundamental concept and/or knowledge associated with road infrastructure asset management and the instruction of asset management software called Kyoto Model. TARGETED PARTICIPANTS Students of Kyoto University and UTC Students from any other universities in Vietnam Researchers and engineers and government officials who are interested in road infrastructure asset management. CREDITS AND CERTIFICATE Participants who have completed the course will obtain the certificate of course completion issued both from Kyoto University and UTC. Upon his/her request, the students from Kyoto University and UTC can be accredited officially by their affiliation, respectively.
