IAU College e-newsletter IAU Name Change and Expansion to Spain In response to new growth and renewed focus on the academic curriculum, the Institute will now be known as IAU College, Aix-en- Provence. This name change will bring attention to the college campus-type experience that is being created for students, and will also highlight our very special location in the south of France. The new IAU College will have the following departments and areas of study: the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, the Marchutz School of Fine Arts, and the French Honors Program and the Business Administration Program. In addition, IAU College expands beyond France along the Mediterranean by offering a summer program in Barcelona, Spain beginning in 2013. With the creation of these schools and programs, IAU College will be more aligned with the structure and vision similar departments of its university partners in the US. We are pleased that the new IAU College will demonstrate a confluence of great tradition since 1958 in Aix-en-Provence with a new vision towards the future. N 3 October 2012 Save the Date! Sounds of laughter and chatter filled the reception room at the Miami Sofitel all evening as alumni spanning decades came together to reconnect with the people and places of the Institute. This reception was enriched by a specially video recorded greeting to the alumni from Monica Maza and also provided the occasion for IAU to honor Dr. Robert Vitale of Miami Dade College with a Certificate of Appreciation for his decades of program development, institutional support and friendship for IAU. Photos will soon be available on the IAU website www.iaufrance.org. Our next reception for alumni and friends will take place in Chicago on Friday, April 05, 2013.
