Community & Recreational Centre Much has been written and meetings held in the past over the necessity of the locality offering its residents various amenities under one roof. These go as far back to the initial years when the concept of councils originated. After several unsuccessful attempts to provide such facilities, the project will soon become a reality. Indeed, once detailed plans and information are available, a consultation meeting will be convened giving all residents the opportunity to express their views and opinions. The entire project will be spread over a substantial area of the large plot principally bordered by Triq il-keffa in Ta L-Ibrag which is unquestionably ideally sited and suited to serve the needs of the entire neighbourhood. A very large part of the area will be landscaped offering recreational and sports amenities for residents of all ages. The rest of available space will be taken up by new Council Premises embracing essential commodities, a Polyclinic, Police Station, Sub- Post Office but only a few shops. Limited parking space will be provided at both ground and underground levels.
