1. COURSE ALIGNMENT This course is partially aligned to Unit Standard 259604; Verify compliance to safety, health and environmental requirements in the workplace. Level : 2 Credits : 0 Programme duration Classroom activities 2 days ± 16 hours. A certificate of attendance will be issued on completion of the course. There is no written test or practical assessment. THE PROGRAMME IS BASED ON BASIC ADULT TRAINING TECHNIQUES. 2. PREREQUISITE There is no prerequisite for this programme. 3. TARGET GROUP 4. AIM Learner Engineers, Engineers, Supervisors, Health and Safety Representatives, Health and Safety Committee members and General Management. All senior personal in charge of sections On successful completion of this intervention, the learner will be able to: Identify and solve problems related to the application and controlling of compliance to safety, health and environmental requirements in the workplace. Work effectively with others in the process of monitoring, evaluating and remedying workplace safety, health and environmental practices in the workplace Organise and manage oneself and one's activities to ensure that all safety, health and environmental activities are in accordance with specific requirements. Collect, analyse, organise and critically evaluate information pertaining to the application and controlling of compliance to safety, health and environmental requirements in the workplace. Communicate effectively when recording and reporting deviations from specified requirements and when providing feedback on the progress and results of the safety, health and environmental management programmes. Demonstrate an understanding of the world as a set of related systems where failure to monitor and control the requirements for safety, health and environmental issues can have a negative impact on people, the organisation and the environment Being culturally and aesthetically sensitive across a range of social contexts in the application and control of safety, health and environmental issues. 5. The minimum group of students allowed per course will be 10, with a maximum of 24 students. Smaller groups will be accommodated at a group fee. 9. TERMS AND CONDITIONS A signed training order form is required prior to the commencement of the course being booked. A minimum of two week notice is required prior to the commencement of the course. Should a course be cancelled later than 10 (Ten) working days prior to commencement thereof, a fee of 50% of the legal calculated course fee will be charged. A minimum of 10 candidates are required, should you require WorkMed to present the course at your premises. (Should you require WorkMed to train less than the stipulated quantity the account will be equal to that of the minimum requirement as stated on the quote.) 10.
