It s a new way for the FMCSA to more effectively track and evaluate your safety record; intervene more quickly when your fleet appears to be operating unsafely; and better prevent crashes, injuries, and fatalities in the process. J. J. Keller Encompass, including E-Logs, is the most complete organizational, safety and compliance system available to prepare you for more interaction and oversight from federal and state governments. The rule will require thousands of carriers to install EOBRs and encourage others to install them voluntarily to monitor their drivers hours of service. While there is no across-the-board mandate, the rule combined with CSA 2010 will make paper logbooks obsolete for most.
