2 What has recently occurred? In-cab portable rugged device Android Tablet In-cab fixed device 8 How it Works An affordable, simple ELD and CSA solution with electronic driver logs and easy tools to improve vehicle efficiencies and drivers performance. RouteTracker device is installed on the dashboard of the truck and a cable is run to the vehicle data bus. This is a self install process. 9 RouteTracker Device Bluetooth connection The RouteTracker does not contain a cellular modem. Instead it sends and receives data over the handset or tablet device using a Bluetooth Connection RouteTracker Application The application is loaded on the customer s handset or tablet; this may be a CRU or IRU device. All the required data to display HOS logs is stored on the device and the device is used for the required driver input. If the device is lost or broken the data will be restored from the Xata TurnPike back-end system. Data Communication The data coming from the RouteTracker and going to the RouteTracker is sent and received over the handset or tablet s connection to the AT&T network Back-end All of the data is stored and displayed for the trucking company on the Xata TurnPike backend solution. This is also used to restore data to the handset or tablet if required. 3

A driver is permitted to use a wired microphone attached to a push-to-talk mobile phone device as long as the driver does not reach for, dial, or hold the actual mobile phonein his/her hands while driving. Additionally, the driver must be able to operate the push-to-talk feature from the normal seated position with the safety belt fastened.
