Online Support Services Minutes_4.29.11 Present: Takeo Kubo, Elena Ledesma, David Corley, Romero Jalomo, Elaine Burns Absent: Teresa Paiz, Laura Garcia, Eugenio Canoy 1. David Corley will have Kha Nguyen contact Elena Ledesma to produce the Camtasia Online Orientation module and Laura Garcia to complete the online Assessment Tutorial. 2. David will work with MP aesthetic appeal of the online counseling forum. 3. Elena and counselors need to come up with categories for the online forum so that students can pose their questions. This will be the model for Veterans and International student Camtasia video. 4. Work with MP to get online forms posted. 5. Will meet with Avanzamos, RWC, and the tutorial center to develop online academic support services links. 6. Elena is in the process of editing the online orientation via Camtasia. 7. Laura is working to recombine the Assessment Tutorial PowerPoint and the voice over script.

Submit request to the President to purchase Camtasia. 2. Elaine visited San Diego Mesa College and brought back ideas for online counseling, orientation, veterans and international student websites. 3. Need DO ITSS support to look into online counseling software, MyWeb, moodle, etc. 4. Elena worked with Jerry Cellilo from Foothill College use online counseling software that gathers statistical usage data 5. Elaine met with Heidi Kozlowski and obtain 2006 Online students survey results 6. Include web technician in future meetings 7. Timelines (tentative) Finalize FAQs by Wednesday, March 23 rd Finalize Forms by Friday, March 25 th Determine online software by April 1 st Present examples from San Diego Mesa and Foothill to Counselors on March 25 th Present to AS to pilot April 27th Final Due Date May 1 8. Format Change Online Learning to SJCC Online on homepage Click Admissions and go to Steps to Success page On Steps to Success page, the first step/bullet will link to the Apply & Register page Delete register email Create an A-Z Index on homepage Delete picture on Admissions Guide page contact Assessment Center for scheduling an Assessment, Log in to CCC Apply and choose college, on our page it welcomes students to Spring 2011 change to Summer/Fall 2011 Include link for online orientation, RSVP on homepage for Super Saturday and phone number 298-2181 x3672 Need clear directions for enrolling in orientations
