1. Choose either A or B (20 marks) A. Imagine that you are in 2025 and you need to write your biography. Write IN SPANISH 75-100 words about your PAST, things you would like to do by 2025. B. Imagine what your life will be like in ten years time and write IN SPANISH 75-100 words about your FUTURE, things you will have done in ten years. 2. DIALOGUE CONSTRUCTION: You are in a restaurant in Spain with your friend Mark. You are about to finish you meal. Play your role with the waiter or waitress and write in SPANISH your part of the dialogue (20 marks). 1. Camarero: Bueno, señores, ya han terminado o quieren algo de postre? 1. Tú: Order one black coffee for your friend and a cup of tea for yourself. Ask for the bill. 2. Por cierto, De dónde son ustedes? 2. Tú: Tell him/her where you and your friend are from. You ve travelled for two weeks around Europe and Spain in the last place you visit. 3. Qué países han visitado y cuál les ha gustado más? 3. Tú: Visited Paris for four days, Rome for three and Berlin for three. In Paris you did a two day tour of the city and you stayed in a hostel near the city. It was very cheap. 2

(8 marks, 2 marks for each answer) a) Enumerate THREE characteristics of the Spanish geography mentioned in paragraph 2. b) Who are Juan Carlos I and José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero c) What are the main sources of income in the Spanish economy? d) What is Spain better known for internationally? 3.2 Match clearly each of the following words/expressions with their definitions. Write approx 200-300 words in ENGLISH on what you have learnt about Latin America after watching the film The Motorcycle Diaries. Mention aspects, such as history, iconic figures, landscapes, people, social situation of Latin America and ALWAYS use the film to give examples of the above (20 marks) 5
