Online Sale Settings If your organization is using Altru for online sales, it is important to know that you can configure settings for all online sales in Tickets > Sales Methods. Here you can control settings for: What delivery methods do we offer? What fees are associated with online sales? What price types are sold online? 3
Look and Feel: Page Designer To control the look and feel of your Altru web forms, go to Web and click Page Designer under Configuration. Here you can: 1. Configure a basic layout. 2. Colors and Styles including Advanced Colors and Styles with a CSS Content Editor 3. Configure Content and add links/images on your headers, footers or side columns. IMPORTANT TIP! Always go to the last step and hit Submit when completing any changes in the Page Designer. The Submit button will complete your design changes on the Payments Page as well! 4
Look and Feel: Minor Adjustments There are a few minor adjustments that we can make to the Page Designer to help your patron s online experience: 1. Add a Shopping Cart Knowledgebase: Is it possible to insert a shopping cart icon in web forms? (BB733213) 2. Enhancing Web Forms: Donations Under Options: Specify a minimum gift amount Allow for Comments Add Suggested Giving Levels (tip: insert a space in the giving level name if you d only like to include an amount. Edit the language of the page 6
Enhancing Web Forms: Memberships Under Options for each Membership Program: Specify what fields are required Select which Additional Member Add-ons can be sold online. Edit the language of the page 7
Enhancing Web Forms: Programs Under Online Settings for tickets: Specify how far in advance to sell tickets. Specify a ticket limit for one user per event. Enter how long tickets are held in shopping carts. Indicate when low availability message displays. Edit the language of the page. 8
Enhancing Web Forms: Programs If you need to edit the description that appears when you access a web form, you can edit this from Web by clicking Edit under an individual program or page. This is the same as editing the Web Forms Tab on the program or event: TIP: If you d like to insert a link here, you can highlight text and use the hyperlink button or HTML Editor to add a link. Enhancing Web Forms: Special Events & Pre-registered Programs Under Options for each event: All options for Programs Remove certain options or Price Types from Sale Reorder options or price types Indicate whether or not guest details are optional Specify what fields are required Edit the language of the page 10
Custom Acknowledgement Emails Altru gives you the ability to send custom email confirmations for different types of donations, memberships, and program purchases. See our guide here for specific instructions. To add and enable a custom email, choose Edit/Enable under Custom Email Acknowledgements in your Web Forms: Important Notes: 1. If there is not an custom acknowledgement for a web form, the Default Acknowledgement Email will be sent. 2. If the patron purchases more than one item with a custom acknowledgement email, they will receive more than one email. 11
Web Payment Settings Also under Configuration, the Web Payment Settings area not only indicates what merchant account you use for your web sales, but it also contains a lot of important language your patrons may see during check out as well as the Confirmation Screen when their order is complete. Examples of common edits: Change information on the Confirmation Screen to reflect current events. Edit language in the Validation Messages category to direct patrons where they can get help. Edit language under the Payments category (for example, change the wording for How would you like us to deliver the tickets? 12
Unresolved Online Sales Another thing you may need to keep watch for is Unresolved Online Sales Orders. These orders go through and the credit card is charged, but the order is not yet complete. Unresolved Sales Orders are generally easy to fix. Resend E-Tickets Email New Feature in Altru 4.1 and a top Community Idea! How to Resend the E-Ticket Email: 1. Go to the Sales Order (access this through order search or through the Sales Order Tab on the constituent record 2. Go to the Tickets Tab on the order 3. Click Email 4. Verify the email address and enter a To/From Address. You can also customize the message if desired 5. Send! 14
