DREAM SWING THESE INSTRUCTIONS ARE IMPORTANT. PLEASE READ CAREFULLY AND RETAIN FOR FUTURE REFERENCE. Read the entire instruction before assembling and using this product. The correct use and maintenance of your product will ensure it gives long and trouble free use. If somebody else is using the product ensure they also know how to use it and know all of the safety precautions. The safety of your child is your responsibility. OPENING THE SWING Grip the top of the metal tube at the back of the swing and rotate it until it locks into the foot moulding. Push the leg rest on the front of the seat downwards until it is in the bottom position. Push the back rest down to ensure that it has locked in place - 3 -
FITTING THE BATTERIES Remove the two screws holding the battery plate in place on the left side of the frame with a cross head screwdriver. Remove the cover and place to one side. Insert four C LR14 batteries into the compartments. Ensure that the battery polarities are correctly aligned. Refit the battery cover over the battery compartment and tighten the two screws. ADJUSTING THE BACKREST The backrest can be adjusted into three different positions. Ensure that the seat is only used in the fully reclined position until the child can hold its head up unassisted. To lower the backrest: Lift the handle at the top of the backrest upwards. Lower the backrest into the new position and release the handle. Always check the backrest is locked into position. To raise the backrest: Grip the middle of the top of the backrest and lift upwards into the desired position. Always check the backrest is locked into position. - 5 -
USING AND ADJUSTING THE SAFETY HARNESS Never place your child in the seat without fitting and adjusting the safety harness. Opening the harness cover Pull the front of the harness cover upwards to access the buckle. Fasten the press studs on the harness cover to close. Always close the cover when the child is in the cradle. 1 1 Locking the harness Push the locking catch into the buckle 1 until it clicks into place. Repeat the process for the lock on the other side. 3 3 2 Releasing the harness Push the two tabs 2 on the locking catch inwards whilst pulling the two sections apart 3. Adjusting the harness length To loosen the harness feed the webbing back through the adjustment buckle. To tighten the harness, pull the free end of the webbing outwards. 2-6 -
ATTACHING THE TOY BAR AND TOYS Slot the clips on the ends of the toy arch over the arms of the swing, as shown in the diagram. Wrap the fabric collar on the end of the toys over the play arch. Fasten the velcro pads on the ends of the collars together. USING THE SWING LOCK The seat of the swing can be locked into position. Under the front of the seat there is a rotatable locking arm. To lock the seat in place rotate the lock through 180º. Push the end of the locking arm over the metal tube at the front of the swing. To undo the lock, simply pull upwards and rotate back under the seat. - 7 -
OPERATING THE SWING On the right side of the frame there is the control panel for the swinging and sound functions. 1 Swing power on/off Press this button to activate and switch off the swing function. 2 Timer This regulates the length of time the swing will run for either 5, 10 or 15 minutes then it will automatically turn itself off. 3 Motion setting This sets the amount of power used to move the swing dependent on the weight of your child. Pressing 0 will stop the swing without interrupting the timer. You may need to gently push the swing to get it started 4 Music Press the middle button to activate the music. Pressing the button again and you can scroll through the tunes available. Press the + button to increase the volume of the music. Press the - button to decrease the volume of the music. FOLDING THE SWING Adjust the backrest into the upright position 1. Push the footrest upwards 2. Grip the bottom tube and swing around until it is against the uprights sections of the frame 3. The frame can now be stored away from young children. - 9 -
USING THE AUDIO SYSTEM The Dream Swing is equipped with a jack port on the plastic housing on the rear right leg. This enables you to plug in any audio device that has a 3mm headphone outlet built in to it. To use the system Insert one of the jack plugs into the outlet in the rear housing of the swing. Insert the other jack plug into the outlet of the audio system. Important: Check that volume on the audio unit is turned down as this will control the volume of the sound emitted by the Dream Swing (not the volume control on the swing). - 10 -
REMOVING THE COVER Undo the two straps on the underside of the swing 1. Push the clips of the studs behind the plastic discs on the bottom of the swings seat 2. Pull the cover off the swings frame 3. Wash the cover following the instructions on the wash care label on the cover. Re-fit the cover by reversing the process used to remove it. - 11 -
INSTRUCTIONS FOR SAFE USE Warning: A child s safety is your responsibility Warning: Never leave the child unattended. Warning: Never carry the swing with a child in it. Do not use the reclined cradle once your child can sit unaided. This reclined cradle is not intended for prolonged periods of sleeping. It is dangerous to use this reclined cradle on an elevated surface, e.g. a table. Always use the restraint system. Never use the toy bar to carry the reclined cradle. This reclined cradle is intended for children from birth to a maximum weight of 9kg. This reclined cradle does not replace a cot or a bed. Should your child need to sleep, then it should be placed in a suitable cot or bed. Do not use the reclined cradle if any components are broken, torn or missing. Do not use accessories or replacement parts other than those approved by the manufacturer. Prolonged and direct exposure to bright sunlight can change the fabrics colours. Try to limit if possible. Assemble and adjust the Dream Swing with care. The reclined cradle can be wiped clean with a damp cloth. Never use bleach or harsh abrasives. Battery Safety Information: Only an adult should access the battery compartments. Ensure that the battery compartments are securely closed before the product is used. Use only the batteries recommended and insert them correctly. Do not mix old and new batteries. Do not mix batteries of different types. Do not attempt to recharge non-rechargeable batteries. Rechargeable batteries must be removed from the product before being recharged. Recharging batteries must be carried out by an adult. Remove exhausted batteries and dispose of them at an official waste disposal site. Do not burn or place in household waste. This symbol on the product or documentation denotes that the item may not be disposed of as normal household waste. This item must be handed over at an applicable collection point for the recycling of electrical and electronic equipment.
