You must pay attention to these instructions; failure to do so voids all warranties and exposes you to the risk of fire. Do not tamper with, physically alter, modify or damage the Lipo Battery Do not short circuit the Lipo battery. Only use the charging jack from the controller to charge this helicopter Do not mix different types of new and used batteries in the controller Do not submerge this toy under water as this will destroy the electronic components Do not dispose of this toy in fire or in the microwave. Do not mix different types of batteries. Do not leave batteries in the controller for extended periods of time. Do not mix new and used batteries in the controller. Remove exhausted batteries from the controller and replace with new batteries. The LED in controller will flash when batteries need replacing. 1 Use a small screwdriver to remove the screw that holds the battery cover case to the controller. 2 Place 6 new AA batteries in the battery compartment, observing the proper polarities, as indicated (+/-). 3 Replace cover and tighten screw to secure. how to charge your tornado rotorz 1 Slide the controller s rear bottom-right compartment cover open and extract the charging lead. 2 Ensure the power on the Helicopter and Controller is turned off and then insert the plug into the charging socket of the helicopter. Do not force this plug in and ensure the plug is secured correctly. The plug can only be secured in one way to ensure correct polarity. 3 Turn the controller on now. The LED will change from red to yellow to indicate that charging is underway.

5 4 The helicopter takes minutes to reach a full charge. Do not leave the toy unattended whilst charging as there is a risk of fire and damage to property owing to the fact that Lithium Polymer batteries are known to be potentially dangerous. 5 When the LED changes back to red, pull the plug out of the helicopter s charging socket. Your Tornado Rotorz will now be able to fly for 5-6 minutes after a full charge. 6 after flying, allow minutes to pass before charging the helicopter again. This ensures enough time for the Lipo battery to cool down and prevent any potential damage to your helicopter and property. how to fly your tornado rotorz Set the band on the controller to the same as that on the helicopter. Set the ON/OFF switch on the helicopter to ON and then switch the ON/OFF switch on the controller to ON. Place the helicopter on the ground with the tail of the helicopter pointing towards you and the nose of the helicopter pointing away from you. This helicopter is designed to fly indoors, the most appropriate place to fly is a large room. Make sure all household appliances are turned off when flying, including electric heaters, air conditioners and any other dangerous objects are turned off or moved away. It is highly important to ensure there is no moving air currents in the flying arena. Ascending Push the left throttle stick up to increase spin speed of the main rotor blade and make the copter lift. Descending Pull the left throttle stick down to decrease spin speed of the main rotor blade and make the copter descend. p. 5

6 Steering Move the right rudder joystick to the left, and the copter will steer to the left; move it right, and the copter will respond accordingly. Moving forward Push the right rudder joystick up to make the copter s nose tilt down and move it forward. Moving backward Push the right rudder joystick down to make the copter s nose tilt up and move it backward. NB If the copter rotates of its own volition (ie without exertion of the control sticks), adjust the controller s rudder control/steering trim by tapping it gently to the left if the copter s rotation is clockwise or right if the copter s rotation is anti-clockwise. p. 6

Replace the AA batteries (ensuring correct polarities are observed) in the controller and/or recharge the copter. Check that both components are set to On. The copter doesn t respond efficiently, despite both copter s and controller s batteries having been checked and turned to On. Double-check your copter s control distance. Try moving to a different playing area other radio waves in the vicinity caused by other electrical equipment can cause interference to your signal. Check that there is no other R/C toy being operated in close proximity on the same or a similar signal. p. 7
