Architectural clustering KNOWLEDGE clustering Aarhus School of Architecture The school works as the centrifugal center of the cluster. Both geographically as seen on the earlier map and mentally. Earlier students have spread out but their professional network is still build around the network from the school. The school supports a network called: Kandidatkontakten

Møller - architect and principal Johan Richter - architect and professor Arne Karlsen - architect and assistant professor Sven Hansen - architect and assistant professor Short historical presentation: The photo shows the first teachers at the school bask in 1965. - already in the 1920 s the danish architect Kay Fisker spoke of a architectschool in Jutland in relation to the new university. - In the 1950 s the growing welth of several provincecities in Jutland brought about the same wish. - In 1962 A group was formed in order to convince the danish government to found an architectschool in Jutland. Actually at first it was an artschool...the architect C. F. Møller was highly active in this group and became the first principal of the school. - In 1965 the school opened in Aarhus on its current adress, Nørreport 20. At its opening the school had 52 students - today it has 900.

All educated from Aarhus School of architecture. Today all are still partners in Arkitema, but in addition 6 more partners has entered the company. The company has offices in Aarhus, Copenhagen and Beijing. Educated from The Royal Academi of Fine Arts, Copenhagen. Today Møllers son, Mads Møller i active in the company but in addition 7 new partners have entered the company. The company has offices in Aarhus, Copenhagen, Vejle, Aalborg, Oslo, London and Stockholm. All educated from Aarhus School of architecture. Today Kim Herforth Nielsen is the only one of the original partners left. Two new partners have joined the company - Kim Christiansen and Bo Boje Larsen.
