Login 1. Go to or type www.standardcharteredtrade.co.in to view the home page of our website. 2. Click on 'Login to > Online Services' tab to visit the secure user login page. The login window will pop up. 3. Enter your Username (client code) and Password. Please note that Username and Password are case sensitive. 4. Select the trading platform you have subscribed to: Easy Trade or Advance Trade from the dropdown. 5. Click on 'Login'. 6. On successful login for the 1st time, you will be prompted to change your password. On successful change of the password you will be prompted to accept the general terms & conditions related to your trading account. Once you accept the terms & conditions and verify your personal details, the overview screen will be displayed. Note: To trade through the website, you require your Username & Password. Username is your client code, which you would have received along with this booklet. Your password is delivered to you separately through a separate pin-mailer. Login Details of various categories of trading accounts for NRI are represented below. Select the relevant trading account, from the Select Account drop down as per your investment requirement (please refer below image). RAJESH PILLAI. Once you have selected the particular category, all details (Equity, Demat, Funds & Margin etc.) will be for that category only. In case you wish to select another category you can do so by selecting by the same from the Select Account menu (Top right ) 2
EASY Trade Equity Trading Placing Orders To trade in Equities, please click on Equities on the left hand side menu. The Place Order page will be displayed by default. Before placing a fresh Buy order please check whether you have sufficient funds to place the order in the Buying Power section. If you wish to trade/invest in excess of limits displayed in the Buying Power section, you may need to transfer funds from your linked Bank account using the Funds Transfer option. Refer to Funds & Margins > Buying Power on page 27. Alternately, you can refer to the Available Buying Power for Equity given at the bottom left hand side of the screen, which displays the current trading limit for Equities. In case you wish to transfer funds for trading from your linked bank account, you can select the Transfer Funds link given at the bottom right hand side of the screen. In the order form, you will need to fill in the details as below: Exchange: Select the exchange where you would like to buy or sell. Scrip Code / Name: Enter the first three alphabets of the company/scrip, a list of matching scrip names will automatically pop-up. Select the scrip you wish to trade in. (Please refer below image) 3
EASY Trade Once the screen has been refreshed as mentioned above, you may click on "Scrip Search" for further details related to the scrip such as applicability of various product types, applicable margins and others. (Please refer below image) Transaction type: BUY: In order to BUY, you will have to first check whether you have sufficient funds to place the order. The buying power is conveniently visible at the lower section of your "place order" window. You can also check this by clicking on the tab - "Buying Power" under "Funds and Margin" menu. Transaction type: SELL: Please refer demat section on page no. 28 Quantity: Please fill in the number of shares you wish to buy. Order Type: Market/Limit:If you wish to buy at a specific price, then select the "Limit" option. However, if you would like to buy at the current price available in the market, then select "Market" option (price prevailing in the market when your order reaches the exchange). Price: Please specify a price if you have selected a limit order. If the Order type selected is "Market", then you would not be able to specify a price here since the system will automatically pick up the current price available in the market (price prevailing in the market when your order reaches the exchange).. Product Type: Del - This mean delivery trade. Trade type/order Term: This is a system generated field and you are not required to make any entry for this field. Estimated Transaction value: This is an estimated calculation of the order value of your transaction (Quantity * Price) and is visible in case of limit orders only. Disclosed quantity: This is an optional field. Through this option you can choose to disclose only a part of the order quantity to the market. Minimum disclosed quantity can be up to 10% of the original order quantity. 4
EASY Trade Stop Loss Trigger Price: This is an optional field. If a stop loss trigger price is specified, then your order will be executed only when the stop loss trigger price level is breached. You may use Stop Loss Order to place an order which gets activated only when the market price of the relevant security reaches or crosses a threshold price specified by you in the form of Stop Loss Trigger Price. When a stop loss trigger price (SLTP) is specified in a limit order, the order becomes one which is conditional on the market price of the stock crossing the specified SLTP. The order remains passive (i.e. not eligible for execution) till the condition is satisfied. Once the last traded price of the stock reaches or surpasses the SLTP, the order gets activated (i.e. eligible for execution by being taken up in the matching process of the exchange) and then on behaves like a normal limit order. This tool will help you to limit the maximum loss on a position. Stop Loss Price is also an optional field. After Market Order: If you are placing an order post market hours, then you need to necessarily tick this check box. Your transaction will be executed with the opening of trading hours. Your orders will be pushed to the exchange once the market opens for trading on the next working day. AMO orders are limit orders and are available between 5:30 pm to 8:30 am next day. Please ensure that you transfer funds equal to or more than the order value between IST 12.05 am to 8.00 am. Confirm: Once you confirm the transaction, you will be taken to a page which summarizes your order. Please verify all details and accept the applicable terms & conditions and then click on Confirm. 5
EASY Trade Miscellaneous features - Equity 1. Order Book: Order Book lets you view all orders placed by you during the current trading session. It displays all executed, pending and cancelled orders for the day. You can also modify and cancel your unexecuted orders from this menu. 2. Trade Book: Trade book lets you view all executed orders for the current trading day. 3. Net Position: The net position screen displays status of all your current open positions, inclusive of profit & loss (both in value as well as percentile basis) based on last traded price (LTP). 6
EASY Trade Derivative Trading (Futures & Options) Allowed only through your NON PIS-NRO trading account, if opted for. Placing Orders To trade in Futures and Options, please click on Derivatives on the left hand side menu. The Place Order page will be displayed by default. Please check whether you have sufficient funds to place the order in the Funds & Margins > Buying Power section. If you wish to trade in excess of buying power, you need to transfer funds using the Funds & Margins > Fund Transfer option. Refer to Funds & Margins > Buying Power on page 27. In the Order form, you will need to fill in the details as given below: Exchange: The exchange will be by default FONSE. Contract: To locate the contract, enter the first three alphabets of the underlying in the contract field. A list of companies containing the first three alphabets which you have entered will automatically open. Once you select the desired underlying, the Contract Locator screen will popup. The Contract search option can also be used to search for the desired underlying. 7
EASY Trade In Contract Locator popup you can select Future or Option as Instrument Type. For Future contracts: Select expiry date and click on Add Contract For Option contracts: Select expiry date, option type, strike price and then click Add Contract Once you select the desired contract, the screen will display latest price details of the contract under the Get Quotes link. To check the latest market price, you can click on the refresh button besides the Get Quote link, you can also view the best 5 bids and offers for the selected contract in Market Depth link. Transaction type: BUY: In order to BUY, you will have to first check whether you have sufficient funds to place the order. The buying power is conveniently visible at the lower section of your "place order" window. You can also check this by clicking on the tab - "Buying Power" under "Funds and Margin" menu. 8
EASY Trade Quantity/Lot Size: The minimum lot size will be displayed. You can edit the same as per the quantity you wish to purchase (quantity to be entered should be as per the lot size or multiple there of). Order Type: Market/Limit:If you wish to buy at a specific price, then select the "Limit" option. However, if you would like to buy at the current price available in the market, then select "Market" option (price prevailing in the market when your order reaches the exchange). Price: Please specify a price if you have selected limit order. If the Order type selected is "Market", then you would not be able to specify a price here since the system will automatically pick up the current price available in the market (price prevailing in the market when your order reaches the exchange). Order For: You have the option to place orders valid till Day (End of Day) and Immediate or Cancel. Please select the desired option. An Immediate or Cancel (IOC) order allows the user to buy or sell a security as soon as the order is released into the system, failing which the order is cancelled from the system. Partial match is possible for the order and the unmatched portion of the order is cancelled immediately. In case of orders valid till end of day, any unexecuted orders pending at the end of the trading session for the day will expire. Stop Loss Trigger Price: This is an optional field. EASY Trade Miscellaneous Features - Derivatives 1. Order Book: Order Book displays details of all orders placed during the current trading session. It displays all executed, pending and cancelled orders for the day. You can also modify and cancel your unexecuted orders from this menu. 2. Trade Book: Trade book displays details of all executed orders for the current trading day. 3. Net Position: The net position screen displays status of all your current open positions, inclusive of margin blocked and unrealized profit-loss (both in value as well as percentile basis). You can also Square Off your current open position here. 10
EASY Trade 4. Exercise Book: Exercise book displays all the open positions which you can exercise. Please note: Only buyer of an option can exercise the option. Only In The Money options can be exercised. 5. Margin %: This menu shows the margin requirements and lot sizes of all the contracts available for trading. 11
EASY Trade Market Watch You can create multiple market watches across exchanges and segments. Through the Market Watch you can view the price details (LTP, % change, open, high, low, previous close) of all the stocks selected by you. You can also directly access the Buy/Sell page from the Market Watch section. 12
Advance Trade If you have opted for Advance Trade trading platform, please be guided by the instructions below as in some respects the platform differs from Easy Trade. 1. Before placing your first trade through Advance Trade, please ensure all prerequisites are in place. 2. Select the relevant trading account, from the Select Account drop down as per your investment requirement. Once you have selected the particular category, all details (Equity, Demat, Funds & Margin etc.) will be for that category only. In case you wish to select another category you can do so by selecting by the same from the Select Account menu (Top right ) 3. Options displayed in the left menu work in the same way as in Easy Trade. For details, please refer Easy Trade. 4. In the main trading section, click on Market Watch. 5. System will display your default Market Watch, which permits you to monitor stocks & derivative contracts of your preference real time.» Drop down on the top right-hand corner of the page lets you modify Market Watch.» New and Delete options work as the names suggest they help you create/delete lists.» To add/delete stocks/contracts from Market Watch, right click on the stock code/contract.» To add columns to Market Watch, right click on any one of the columns.» Market Watch can also be sorted in the Ascending or Descending manner. Ensure you Save Settings after any addition/deletion/modification. 13
Advance Trade 6. You can create five market watches with 25 scrip s in each. 7. You can toggle between your saved market watch. 8. Beneath market watch option, you can view latest index values for NSE & BSE. 9. To know the current bid/offers for a particular stock before placing orders, click on Market Depth. You can also include price based triggers for various stocks through Add Trigger option. 10. You can Buy / Sell by clicking on the specific option or by pressing F1 (Buy) / F2 (Sell) or by placing your cursor on the stock code, and using + (Buy) / - (Sell) sign. 11. Bottom section of the screen shall display an order form. Fill in the required details Exchange, Action (Buy / Sell), Product, Quantity, Price, Order Type (Market / Limit). Click on AMO option to place the order after market hours. Verify your demat account number and click on Submit. Confirm your order through the Order Verification page. 12. Confirmed orders are sent to the exchange. An order reference number is displayed. You can check the status of all orders placed by you in Order Book and Trade Book. 13. Exchange related messages & in-house research calls will be displayed above the order form and beneath market watch. A drop down lets you specify your preference. 14
Mutual Funds To transact in Mutual Funds, please select NON PIS NRE/NRO account from top right drop-down. Placing Orders To transact in Mutual Funds, please click on Mutual Funds on the left hand side menu in your NON PIS NRE/NRO account. The Place Order page will be displayed by default. Before placing an order please check whether you have sufficient funds to place the order in the Buying Power section. If you wish to invest in excess of limits displayed in the Buying Power section, you may need to transfer funds from your linked Bank account using the Funds Transfer option. Refer to Section Funds & Margins > Buying Power on page 27. On the order form, 1. Select the Fund House 2. Select the Asset class 3. Transaction type Purchase: for investing in the fund. Additional Purchase: to invest more in an existing folio Redemption: to redeem your existing holding. Switch: to switch your investment from one scheme to another scheme of the same AMC. Systemic Investment Plan (SIP): to invest funds at regular intervals into a scheme of your choice. Additional Purchase SIP: to invest additional amount to the existing SIP folio 4. Once you select the transaction type, you will be given an option to perform suitability assessment (SA), through the customer care. SA takes you through a set of questions which will guide you regarding the suitability of a particular scheme to your financial requirements. If you do not wish to undergo the SA, please click on No, proceed to place an order. In case you have already under taken the SA, check on Done, proceed to place an order. 5. Click on Apply link against the scheme name in which you wish to place an order. 15
Mutual Funds 6. On the order form, you will be shown all the relevant information related to the selected scheme, you need to fill in the details as given below. Once you confirm the transaction, you will be taken to a page which summarizes your order. Please verify all details and click on confirm post reading and accepting the applicable terms and conditions. Note-Cut-off time indicates the time line within which any transaction request received would be eligible for the same business day NAV. Any transaction put after the cut-off time would be taken at NAV for the next business day. It implies that in order to get the NAV of the same day, you can purchase up to the time displayed on order confirmation page, after which you will get the next day's NAV. (If the next day is a holiday, then the NAV of the next working day). 16
Mutual Funds If you are placing an order for a Systematic Investment Plan (SIP), then you need to mention the frequency, tenure and SIP start date along with other details. Note: 1) We follow single folio process, hence, in case of a first time purchase in any AMC, you will not be able to place a subsequent order in the same AMC until your folio has been created. It would take approximately 3-4 working days to create your folio with the same AMC. If you have already placed an order earlier & your folio has been generated, then you can place multiple orders at one go. 2) In case you wish to assign a nominee for your holdings, kindly download the nomination form from the Download Forms section (My Account -> Request -> Download Form). The nomination form should clearly mention the Transaction ID generated / Folio Number for the concerned successful transaction. The form should be sent across to the address mentioned on the form within a week s time. Top Schemes 1) This tab will shows the 5 star Rated schemes, for the selected fund house or asset class. 2) You can select the scheme with the sub option (Growth/ Dividend) wherein you want to place your purchase order by clicking on the link Apply. You would be directed to the "Place Purchase Request" Page. NFO (New Fund offer) 1) This tab will display a list of all New Fund Offer (NFO) which are currently open. 2) You can select the scheme with the sub option (Growth/ Dividend) wherein you wish to place your Purchase order by clicking on the link Apply. You would be directed to the "Place Purchase Request" Page. 17
Mutual Funds Other Features - Mutual Funds 1. Order Book 1) Order book will show details of all orders placed during the day session. It displays all executed, pending and cancelled orders for the day. 2) You can also modify and cancel your unexecuted orders from this place 3) Order book will help you with the Trx Ref No for all your unique transaction requests placed. 4) In case you wish to see past transactions, the same can be viewed by selecting the date range option. 2. Unit Holding 1) This tab will displays your mutual fund holding as on date. 2) You can view your total holding across all funds by selecting ALL as option at Select Fund House or you can select the respective fund house to view individual fund house level holding. 3) It displays information such as, details of folios, current invested amount vs current valuation & profit / loss. 4) Realised profit / loss displays the profit or loss already realised. 5) Unrealised Profit / loss displays the profit or loss which has not yet been realised and, hence is notional. 6) View option under Trx Detail will let you view the transaction level details. Order Details SIP /SWP Transaction 1) This tab will show all relevant details pertaining to your SIP or SWP. 2) By selecting the fund house, date range option & transaction type you can access the required information. 3) Details as mentioned below will be displayed: Folio Number the unique folio number assigned by the fund house for your order placed Scheme Name the scheme in which you have invested. Next SIP on will show the next SIP due date. SIP Amount is your SIP installment amount deducted from your buying power on your respective SIP due dates. Starts Date is the date when you SIP was registered. Complete count is the count of your SIP installments till date. Dues count is the count of your SIP installments due. 18
Mutual Funds SIP/SWP cancel in case you wish to cancel your SIP /SWP, you can do so. Trx History will show the detailed transaction date level information. Rejected Transaction 1) This tab will show all transactions which have been rejected by the fund houses. Fund information All the relevant information related to mutual fund will be available her. Fund Document: Displays link to scheme related documents such as KIM, SID, SAI & Factsheets Scheme NAV: Latest Net Asset Value (NAV) of all mutual fund scheme will be displayed here. Scheme Info: will provide all the relevant information pertaining to a particular scheme. Scheme Rating: Mutual fund star rating which ranks schemes based on certain parameters. AMC Brokerage: Brokerage which is received by us from respective fund houses. Market News: Displays the current news pertaining to mutual fund Industry. 19
Initial Public Offering (IPO) To transact in IPOs, please select NON PIS NRE/NRO account from top right dropdown. Placing Orders To trade in Initial Public Offering, please click on Initial Public Offering link on the left hand side menu. Place Order page will be displayed by default. All live IPOs will be shown under the IPO Name drop down Please select the IPO, that you wish to invest in. On the order form, you will be shown all the relevant information related to the selected IPO, Please fill in the details as given below. Once you confirm the transaction, you will be taken to a page which summarizes your order. Please verify all details and click on confirm post reading and accepting the applicable terms and conditions. 20
Initial Public Offering (IPO) Other Features - Initial Public Offering 1. Order Book 1. Order Book will show details of all orders placed during the day. It displays all executed, pending and cancelled orders for the day. 2. You can also modify and cancel your unexecuted orders from this place 3. Order book will help you with the Trx id for all you unique requests placed. 4. In case you wish to see past transactions, the same can be viewed by selecting the date range option. 2. Allotment details 1. Allotment details of successful order placed will be displayed here. 2. Details include allotted quantity, allotted price (price at which qty of shares were allotted) & allotted value (allotted quantity * allotted price). 3. Forthcoming IPO 1. This tab will show the details of forthcoming IPOs. 4. IPO History 1. This tab will display details of past IPOs. 5. Market News 1. This tab will shows current news pertaining to the IPO industry. 21
Bonds To transact in Bonds, please select NON PIS NRE/NRO account from top right dropdown. Placing Orders To invest in Bonds, please click on Bonds on the left hand side menu. Place order page will be displayed by default. On the order form, please select the type of bonds for placing the order For Normal Bonds: Select the bond, you wish to place an order in. On the order form, you will be shown relevant information partaining to the selected bonds, Please fill in the details as given below along with the nominee details. (if you wish to update the nominee) 22
Bonds Once you confirm the transaction, you will be taken to a page which summarizes your order. Please verify all details and click on confirm post reading and accepting the applicable terms and conditions. For Infrastructure bond The process of placing an order here is same as that of normal bonds. Other Features Bonds 1. Order Book 1. This Order Book will show details of all orders placed in normal bonds during the day. 2. Order book will help you with the Trxn Ref No for unique requests placed. 3. In case you wish to see the past transaction, the same can be viewed by selecting the date range option. 2. Maturity Details 1. All details related to maturity of successful orders placed in normal bonds will be displayed here. 2. It will show the BLA ( Bond ledger Account) number for the allotted bonds, which is the unique number given by the issuer of the bond 3. The maturity date & maturity amount is also displayed here. 3. Infra Bond order book 1. Order Book will show details of all orders placed in infrastructure bonds during the day. It displays all executed, pending and cancelled orders for the day. 2. You can also modify and cancel your unexecuted orders from this tab. 3. Order book will display the Trxn Ref No for the unique requests placed. 4. In case you wish to see past transactions, the same can be viewed by selecting the date range option. 4. Infra Bond Maturity Details 1. Details related to allotment of successful orders will be displayed here. 23
Debentures To transact in Debentures, please select NON PIS NRE/NRO account from top right drop-down. Placing Orders To trade in Debentures, please click on Debentures on the left hand side menu. Place Order page will be displayed by default. On the order form, Select the Debenture you wish to place an order in (Debentures which are currently being offered will be shown under the Debenture Name drop down). The order form, will display relevant information pertaining to the selected debenture, please fill in the details as given below. Once you confirm the transaction, you will be taken to a page which summarizes your order. Please verify all details and click on confirm,post reading and accepting the applicable terms and conditions. 24
Debentures Other Features Debentures 1. Order Book 1. Order Book will show the details of all executed, pending and cancelled orders for the day. 2. You can also modify and cancel your unexecuted orders from this page. 3. Order book will display the Trx Ref no for all you unique requests placed. 4. In case you wish to see past transactions, the same can be viewed by selecting the date rang option. 2. Allotment details 1. Details related to allotment of successful orders will be displayed here. 25
Funds & Margins (Applicable for all accounts) 1 Transfer of funds to or from your trading account will affect your trading or investment limits. Your limits for various categories of products are displayed on the Buying Power tab in the Funds & Margin section. 2 Post transfer of funds, please click on Funds & Margins > Buying Power to confirm your current trading limits for that account/category. 3 Buying Power screen displays your available trading/investment limits for various products. If you wish to purchase products valued at more than your available limit, you have to transfer additional funds from your Bank account to Trading account. a) Funds Transfer: In order to transfer funds from your linked Bank Account to your trading account, you will need to use the Funds Transfer Menu. Total Bank Balance: Displays the balance in your linked Standard Chartered Bank Account in that category. Account No: Displays the linked Standard Chartered Bank Account Number. Segment Account: Select the segment to which you wish to transfer the funds ie: Cash. The funds transferred for Cash can be used across Equity, Derivatives and Third Party Products. Amount (INR): Enter the amount you wish to transfer to trading. You may transfer an amount equal to or greater than Rs 100/-. Click on Submit to transfer the amount entered. Click on Clear to re-enter amount. On successful transfer of funds, a Success message will be displayed with internal reference number You can now view the Buying Power section to view the current trading limit. 26
Funds & Margins b) Funds Withdrawal: You can also transfer funds from your Trading account to your linked Standard Chartered Bank Account through the link Funds & Margins > Fund Withdrawal tab. Select the segment from which you wish to withdraw the funds ie: Cash. The Net Withdrawal Balance will be reflected. Enter the Withdrawal Amount. Click on Submit to submit the request. The available clear funds will be credited to your linked Bank Account. c) Fund Withdrawal Cancellation Select the Funds Withdrawal Cancellation tab to cancel a previously requested funds withdrawal request. The screen will display the following: Segment Account: This is the segment from which you had requested the funds to be withdrawn. Request Id: This is the internal reference number generated by SCSI. Bank Name: This is your linked Bank account. Requested Amount: This is the amount you had previously requested for withdrawal Status: This displays the status of your request. Action: Through this option, you can cancel your previous request. d) Buying Power You can view the funds available for trading across different products, through the Buying Power tab in the Funds & Margin Section. Through this section you can view the: Source of Margin: The Cash and Non Cash margin details are displayed here. Demat a) Allocate: If you wish to sell shares lying in your Demat account, you need to allocate shares for trading. To allocate shares lying in your Demat account, please follow the steps mentioned below: Click on Demat link. You will be shown all the shares that are lying in your Demat account. Select the shares that you wish to allocate by selecting the check box against the scrip name. If you wish to allocate all shares, you can check Select all option. For each scrip please specify the quantity which you wish to allocate for trading. By default, the quantity free for allocation will be pre-filled against each scrip. If you wish to change the quantity for allocation, you can edit the same. Click on "Submit" A confirmation message shall be displayed to you showing the status of your request. All the shares for which the status is successful shall reflect in Demat- Deallocate option. Please Note: You can allocate, de-allocate and sell only whole quantities of shares. Quantities in decimals, particularly in case of listed mutual fund units need to be redeemed through respective fund houses/amc. To sell shares, kindly click on the NSE Sell/BSE Sell link in the "Demat-Deallocate" tab. 28
Demat An order form will be displayed with details like name of the scrip, exchange etc. Please enter the quantity, price at which you wish to sell etc. Click on "Submit". You will be asked for a confirmation. Click on "Confirm ".You may view the order book for further details. b) De-Allocate: If you wish to de-allocate shares, you have to follow a few easy steps as mentioned below.click on Demat-Deallocate tab, all the scrips which you have allocated for trading will be displayed. Click on the De-allocate link for the scrip which you wish to de-allocate. You will be shown the quantity that is free for de-allocation. Please put the quanity that you wish to de-allocate and click on Submit. A status of your request will be shown on the next page. The shares de-allocated by you will now reflect in the allocate shares option. 29
Portfolio The Portfolio displays the Summary of your accounts, with real-time investment value & one click access to relevant sections The overview section gives you a brief snapshot of your overall holdings in the Equity segment. Total Amount Invested indicates the investment cost of all the open holdings. Unrealized Gains / Loss displays the current gain / loss on the open positions, based on the cost of investment and the current market price of the open positions. The total Gain / Loss includes the realized gain / loss on positions squared off as well as the unrealized gain and loss on open positions. Latest value displays the current market value of the open holdings. Click on the Equity to view further details of your Portfolio. Please refer to the How to track Portfolio link given on the bottom left hand side for the detailed FAQ s on the Portfolio Tracker. The various options available in the Portfolio are explained below 30
Portfolio 1) View Portfolio: The View Portfolio menu displays the scrip were summary of your equity portfolio. The fields given are as follow. Sr No: Serial number as per the no. of records displayed. Scrip Name: The name of the stock. When clicked on the Scrip Name hyperlink, all transactions in that particular scrip will be displayed. No. of Share : Total Holdings for the particular scrip. Average Cost: The Average Buy Price is calculated based on Weighted Average method of all the Buy Transactions including the Initial Holding Uploaded. The Average cost of Initial Holdings Uploaded needs to be updated manually as the price is not uploaded by Standard Chartered Securities (India) Ltd. This can be done through the Update Price of DP holdings link available on the right hand corner of the Portfolio. CMP (Current Market Price): By default, the price of the scrip in NSE is displayed, if the scrip is not listed on NSE, then the BSE price would be displayed. CMP can be refreshed by clicking on the Refresh button. Total Cost: Total cost is the product of no. of share and Average cost. Say 100 qty for ACC was brought with average cost of 800 per share. Then the total cost would be (800*100 = 80000). Market Value: Market Value is the product of no. of shares and the current market price. (Market Value = No. of Shares* Current Market Price) Realized P&L: The Realized Gain/Loss is the actual Profit gained or Loss incurred by the user after selling the Holdings. In case of Loss, the value in this field would be displayed in Bracket like (-2508) in Red. In case of Profit the amount would be displayed in Blue. 31
Portfolio Unrealized P&L: The Unrealized Gain/Loss is the Profit that can be gained or Loss that would be incurred by the user if the Holdings are not sold at that point of time. In case of Loss, the value in this field would be displayed in Bracket like (- 2508) in red. In case of Profit the amount would be displayed in Blue. Total Gain/Loss: Is the sum total of Realized gain/loss and Unrealized gain loss. For the profit / loss calculation the net rate (ie: Purchase rate + brokerage or sale rate - brokerage) does not include the ST, STT and other charges. 2) Include Holdings already Sold: Select Include Holdings already sold to view the details of the holdings which have been sold. These holdings (indicated by 0 quantity shares) will be displayed along with the open holdings. The profit / loss will be displayed under Realized P&L. 3) Include Negative Holdings Select Include Negative Holdings to view holdings where the Net Quantity is less than 0. This option displays those stocks which have been sold through Standard Chartered Securities (India) Ltd but not purchased through SCSI. These could include shares transferred from other Depository Accounts, IPO purchases, Corporate actions etc. 4) View / Add Transactions: This link allows you to View all transactions in the portfolio. You can also add new transactions executed outside the system through this link. 32
Portfolio 5) View Holdings mismatch The View Holdings Mismatch will display the difference in the holdings as per the Demat Account and the Portfolio. This report displays the Stock Quantity as per the Demat A/c, Unsettled buy quantity, Projected Demat quantity and Stock Quantity as per the Portfolio. 6) Update Price of DP Holdings The Demat Holdings as on 1 January 2008 have been considered as the base for the Portfolio. These are reflected in the Portfolio (uploaded by Standard Chartered Securities (India) Ltd) without the purchase price. This purchase prices needs to be manually updated through the Update price of DP Holdings (link available on the View Portfolio Page).Post such updation, the holdings will automatically be updated in the portfolio. 33
Portfolio You can click on the Scrip Name on the main Portfolio (View Portfolio) page to view the transaction details for that particular scrip as under: Transaction Window will display the following details: Date the date of the particular transaction. Scrip Name Name of the scrip selected in Main Portfolio page. Buy/Sell Whether the Scrip was Bought or Sold i.e. is it a buy/sell transaction. No. of Shares The quantity of shares bought or Sold on that date. Market Rate The market price for the scrip as per the value uploaded through the transaction file by SCSI or manually updated. Net Rate Net Rate includes the Trade price and Brokerage per share. Net Cost Number of shares multiplied by Net Rate. Brokerage The Brokerage charged for that particular transaction. Export to Excel option is available to download scripwise Portfolio into Microsoft Excel. 34
Portfolio Brokerage Calculation: For BUY Transaction Brokerage = (Net Rate Market Rate) * No. of Shares For Sell Transaction Brokerage = (Market Rate Net Rate) * No. of Shares Through this Scripwise View Menu, you also have the Option to: Modify, Delete and Update the transaction. Modify: At the far right hand side of the record, the Modify option is available through which you can modify the transaction date and price details of the record. (The Transaction Date, Market rate per share, Net Rate per share, Brokerage per share, are editable fields which you can modify / update.) Only transactions manually updated by you and those uploaded by SCSI as part of Initial Holdings can be modified. Delete: At the far right hand side of the record, the Delete option is available through which you can delete the record. Only manually added transactions can be deleted. Update Portfolio: Click on the Update Portfolio link at the bottom right corner to add a new transaction to the Portfolio. 35
My Account My Account section offers the following facilities Account Profile: Displays the client details such as client code, name, address, contact numbers, email id, demat a/c number, PAN and Trading platform. You have the option to upgrade the trading platform by selecting Upgrade (this will direct you to the Upgrade Product menu).you can change/update your Telephone, Mobile and Email id after clicking on the Update link. Once you submit the new details, the same will be updated in all our systems within 2 workings days. Mailbox: Receive both personalized as well as general communication from SCSI. My Query: Select your Query Type and Sub Query Type from the pre defined list available. A list of canned responses will be displayed. If any forms need to be downloaded, this can be done from the Download Forms link. In case your query is still not resolved or you wish to post a query which is not available in the drop down menu, you can add the details in the space provided under Write to us and click on Confirm to submit your query. Change Password: You can change your existing password at this place at any point. Requests Upgrade Product: This section enables you to UPGRADE your existing Trading Platform to a more advanced Trading Platform of SCSI. To upgrade your platform, please select the options given (Easy Trade to Advance). Kindly go through the conditions against each option before you make the selection. Click on Submit for your request to be processed. Download Forms: This section allows you to download relevant forms which can be used for various purpose related to your trading and demat account.
