Once you have clicked the link for the application to your FAD course of choice, you will be taken to the following screen: Please check that the course title and college are correct and click Proceed : 2. If this is the first time you are creating an application, please select New User? Create an account here: 3. Enter your login details in the boxes shown. Please ensure that your email address is correct, as this is where the follow-up email requesting your Personal Statement and Pathway choice will be sent to: 4. When your details have been entered you will be presented with the following screen confirming the title of the course which you are applying for. Please select Next >:
2 Personal Details 5. The first screen of the application form itself requests your personal details. All compulsory fields are marked with a red asterisk (*) and must be filled. Please use your full legal details on this section of the application including your Surname and Forename as they appear on your passport: You must select the English Language details tick box as indicated. This opens the Language Details section. In the Language Details section, you will be required to provide details of your level of English proficiency: When you have finished with a section and are ready to move to the next section, please select Next and Save > on the right side of the screen. To simply save the information you have entered, please select Save:
3 Address Details 6. Please enter your full address details, including postcode. The email address which you entered to create an account will automatically populate in the External Email field. Please ensure that this is correct: If you are under 18, you must provide contact details for your Parent or Guardian by selecting Under 18 Parental Consent Contact Address: This will open the section shown above and enable you to enter the details of your Parent or Legal Guardian, if applicable.
4 Current or Previous Education 7. Please follow the instructions listed here carefully to complete this section of the form. Please provide details of your educational history back to the age of 13 [Secondary School Level]: If your Educational Institution does not come up in Search, select Other and add these details in free text in the boxes below: When you have entered details for one Institution, please select Add Institution
5 UK Qualifications below degree level 8. Please follow the instructions listed here carefully to complete this section of the form. Please note: you should provide all details on qualifications attained from GCSE to A Level [or equivalent] If your qualifications were not attained in the U.K, please leave this section blank and select Next and Save > at the bottom right corner of the screen
6 UK Qualifications at degree level and above 9. Please follow the instructions here carefully to complete this section of the form. Please note that if you have not studied for a U.K Degree, you are not required to fill this section. Please select Next and Save> at the bottom right of the screen to move to the next section: Non UK & Professional Qualifications 10. This section enables you to enter any professional or international qualifications you have taken or are currently taking. If you do not have any, please leave the section blank and select Next and Save> to move to the next section:
7 Employment Details 11. This section allows you to enter your employment details, if applicable. To add an Employer, please fill all compulsory fields and select Add Employer If you have no details to add, please leave this section blank and click Next and Save> Referees 12. This section requires you to enter details of your referee[s]. Please note that it is compulsory to provide the contact details of at least one referee. Your reference must be completed by the course deadline- it is your responsibility to make sure that your referee is aware of this and submits it prior to the deadline.

9 Terms and Conditions 15. Please read this section carefully before selecting the tick boxes at the bottom of the page. All tick boxes must be selected before you can move to the next section. When you have done this, please select Next and Save> to move to the next section Confirmation of Applications Submitted 16. This page provides a summary of all the details which you have submitted. You may click Show to open up a section of information:
10 Selecting Show will expand that section of the application to show the details which you have entered. It is advisable to check all sections of the application before submission as shown below: 17. If you would like to go back and amend or change any of the details in your application, please select Change Details at the bottom of the screen: This will take you back through to the previous application screens When you have checked your application thoroughly, please select Submit Applications Please note that once you have submitted your application, you cannot change it.
11 Details Submitted 18. Once you have submitted your application, the following screen will appear. Please note down your unique Student ID: You will also be given the option to print the firm itself the bottom right hand corner of the screen:
12 Personal Statement and Pathway choice 19. Once you have submitted your online application, you will receive an email from UAL requesting you to provide your Personal Statement and Pathway choice at the address you provided in your application. This email will contain your unique Student ID. Please keep note of it: To enter and submit your Personal Statement and select your Pathway choice, please click the link in the email as shown. You will then be taken to the following webpage: You may enter your Personal Statement in the space provided. You will also be instructed to choose your preferred Pathway or Subject Area from the drop-down box, as shown below: Please refer to the Course Information Pages at the link provided at the bottom of the form before submitting the form. When you have submitted your Personal Statement and Pathway Choice, you will see the following message: This means that your FAD application is complete.
