Create EWR for an Un-Metered New Connection (REC) Overview Introduction The purpose of this work instruction is to provide the step by step instructions for a Registered Electrical Contractor to create an Electrical Work Request (EWR) for an Unmetered New Connection using the REConnect Portal. Audience Registered Electrical Contractor (REC) Before you begin Prior to creating the EWR the REC must: Ensure you have completed your registration and have been provided with a valid logon to the REConnect application. Ensure all mandatory fields indicated by an asterisk (*) are filled in on the electronic Electrical Work Request (EWR) form. Ensure the correct address is provided. Important Information IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Please be advised that the Portal automatically times out after 30 minutes. An error message appears advising the user that the REConnect session has timed out. The user can select F5 to re-launch the REConnect application. When the Portal times out after 30 minutes all data that has been entered and not saved will be lost. 1

Launch REConnect Application Accessing REConnect Application The following steps explain how to access the REConnect application. Note: You must be logged on to the REConnect Portal before you can proceed. 1 Click the link as shown on the screen below. Note: The task navigation menu displays as shown below. 2 Click the REConnect App link as shown on the screen below to launch the REConnect Application. 3 Click option in the task navigation menu.
Create Work Request Summary This section of the document provides the steps and instructions on how to complete page 1 of the form to create a new Work Request. Note: The form consists of 3 pages, as you complete each page your progress is displayed on the screen as shown below: Note: When an * is shown next to a field this means that it is a Mandatory field (must be completed). Completing Page 1 of the Form Complete the following fields on page 1 of this form. 1 Note: Page 1 of the electronic form Create a Work Request is displayed as shown on the screen below. Each Work Request has a unique number located at the top of each page of the work request. EWR numbers are automatically populated by the system. This number can be used to search for a specific EWR. (Refer: Work Instruction Search & Created by Me for existing work request).). 4
Create Work Request (Continued) Completing Page 1 of the Form (continued) 2 In the Work Request Recipient section of the screen the REC can now commence by completing the following fields. Distributor * Click and select the Distributor from the dropdown list. CitiPower Powercor Submit Directly To* For all New Connections the radio button defaults to Retailer Click and select relevant Retailer. Linked EWR NO: If relevant, enter linked EWR number in the text field. Note: A linked EWR number can be expected in scenarios relating to CitiPower Major Developments or other Dual/Multi Occupancy scenarios. 5
Customer Information Completing Page 1 of the Form (continued) 3 In the Customer Information section of the screen complete the following. Customer Type * Business Name * Phone Number: * Select the relevant Customer Type radio button. Business Note: Select Business for all New Connections Un-Metered Enter the relevant Business Name. Business Name (50 characters) Enter the telephone number. Note: If both mobile and landline provided on the paper EWR, enter mobile number. If landline enter area code eg. 0396834444 Note: If no customer phone number available enter eight zeros 00000000. (Numeric value only, minimum of 8 maximum of 10 numeric characters) 6
Job Details Completing Page 1 of the Form (continued) 4 In the Job Details section of the screen, complete the following. Connection Type * Click to select the Connection Type from the dropdown list, New Connection Un-Metered. Installation Type* Click to select Installation Type from the dropdown list. Other Work being done in conjunction with this work * Example: Bus Shelter. Note If Other is selected you are required to enter text in Description of Work field. If known, click to select the relevant other works being undertaken in conjunction with this EWR request for the un-metered New Connection. 5 Description of Work (max 255 characters) The user has the ability to provide additional information in the Description of Work field. 7
Supply Address Completing Page 1 of the Form (continued) 6 In the Supply Address section of the screen, complete the following. Lot No Flat/Unit No /Shop No Level/Floor No Street Number Street Name * Street Type * Street Corner Suburb/Town * Postcode * State * Plan/Sub Division No If available, enter the lot number. Does not accept alpha character. If applicable, enter the flat, unit or shop number. If applicable, enter Level number. If available, enter the street number. Enter the street name. Select street type. If lot is corner block, enter the street corner name. Enter the suburb / town name. Enter the postcode. Select the state (default Victoria ). If available, enter the plan number. Note: If you have a Site No available enter this information in the Description of Work field below. A Site No is to be used for specific information relating to the installation which may assist in site identification by the customer and CitiPower/Powercor. 8

Drag the yellow person on top of the address and release. Street view is displayed 8 Select Launch Land Vic. Enter address and select Search. 9
Buttons Completing Page 1 of the Form (continued) 6 Description of Work The user has the ability to provide additional information in the Description of Work field. 7 Additional buttons - there are three options to select from. = Proceed to page 2 of the EWR form. = Save EWR form. Allows you to submit EWR at a later date/time. = Exit work request. Confirm that you want to exit work request, all data will be lost. 8 If button selected, applications moves to the next page (page 2). Note: The service address you have entered has not been validated. Please ensure address details entered are correct. To continue tick the Validate Supply Address box. The system will now proceed to page 2 of the work request. 10

Click the relevant radio button If known, enter the LIS/Pole number. The Pole number would greatly assist in identifying the location of the unmetered supply. Is Switch Board Internal * Contact to Arrange Access Select the relevant radio button. If Yes selected go to Contact to Arrange Access. Select the relevant radio button. 4 Truck Appointment * If you require a truck appointment to facilitate your Unmetered New Connection request, click the Truck Appointment checkbox. 5 Select from the following four action buttons. = Proceed to page 3 of the EWR form. = Returns to page 1 of the EWR form. = Save EWR form record unique EWR number. = Exit work request. Confirm that you want to exit work request, all data will be lost. 13
Connection Details Summary This section of the document provides the steps and instructions on how to complete page 3 of the form to create a new Work Request. Completing Page 3 of the Form Complete the following fields on page 3 of this form. 1 In the Connection Details section of the screen complete the following. Safe to connect * Select the relevant checkbox. End of the appointment (can only be selected if yes for truck appointment ticked on page 2). On a Date Note: If On a Date select radio button, specify a date by clicking on the Calendar icon and then select the relevant date. Responsible Person First * Contact Number * Enter the first and last name of the person responsible for ensuring the electrical work undertaken has been completed in accordance with relevant rules and regulations. Note: If land line, enter area code eg. 0398889988 If Mobile enter 0400000111 (Numeric value only, minimum of 8 maximum of 10 numeric characters) 14

CES Number CES Type * CES Provided* Prescribed Work LEI First/Last Name If safe to connect date provided enter the CES number. Select the relevant radio button. Select the relevant radio button. Document Attachments & Terms and Conditions Completing Page 3 of the Form (continued) 3 If applicable, in the section of the screen, complete the following. Document Type Click to select the relevant document type from the dropdown list. Note: All hard copy documents need to be scanned prior to uploading. The portal accepts any computer file (i.e. xls, doc, tif, jpg, pdf etc). Comments Browse & Upload Enter a description of the attachment eg CES. Note: If CES available at time of EWR submission, attach CES accordingly. Select search for document. Double click on the document that you wish to upload. Select the button to upload the attachment into the EWR. Your document has now been uploaded. Repeat the process of any additional documents. 16
Executing Work Request Form Completing Page 3 of the Form (continued) 4 Select the Accept Terms and Conditions Checkbox. 5 Click button to create the EWR for the New Connection. The submit button will not activate until the Terms & Conditions have been accepted. Message: EWR Creation Completed Successfully 6 = Save EWR as a template. Enter Template name and select Save or Cancel. = Print copy of EWR. = Returns to page 2 of the EWR form. = Save EWR form. Allows you to submit EWR at a later date/time. = Exit work request. Confirm that you want to exit work request. 7 You have completed this task. 17
