SuperGIS Image Server 3.0 SuperGIS Image Server 3 is a set of enterprise class huge image server software for managing, processing and publishing image. It allows users to rapidly access huge image data as files, enabling users to rapidly access the image data without reloading, which effectively solves the slow speed problem in managing the transmission of image data and publishing. With on-the-fly image process function, when Server side receives the request from Client side for processing the image data of Server side, it will send the processed results back which will be shown on Client side. Therefore, the image data of Server side can be highly reused, and furthermore, the huge cost spent in purchase of image data can be saved. Also, with the sufficient resources and powerful calculation capability in Server side, the time and cost spent in image processing can be greatly reduced, and the value of image can be optimized. And the performance of transmission is also greatly improved by the application of the brand new technologies of image compression and Streaming in SuperGIS Image Server, which efficiently reduce the volume of transmission. Besides, the watermark encryption and permission lock functions can effectively reduce the risk of confidential data being stolen during transmission or sharing and ensure the security of the data in flow. SuperGIS Image Server can use Client side software, such as SuperGIS Desktop, SuperGIS Viewer and SuperGIS 3D Globe as the client side application, and SuperGIS Image Server can effectively reduce the burden on Client side system in image processing and rapidly display the processed effect. Image Process Function SuperGIS Image Server runs on-the-fly image process in Server side, allowing image data in Server side to be processed according to Client sides request. The processed data will be

sent to Client side and displayed. In the respect of image process, SuperGIS Image Server provides 12 functions listed as below: Classify Color Map Convolution Filter Algebra NDVI Pan-sharpen Spectral Matrix Stack Bands Stretching Trend Viewshed Visualize Elevation Main Features SuperGIS Image Server provides the great capability of high-speed image transmission and supports multiple data formats, which can solve the slow speed problem caused in managing and publishing a huge amount of image data. The features of SuperGIS Image Server are listed below: Figure The six features of SuperGIS Image Server Quick-index SuperGIS Image Server is able to access the source data, and the source data can be in the type of file without any advance processing. Thus, these source data can be used to display as various different image products, reducing the storage capacity and allowing client side to attain the image data quicker. Besides, SuperGIS Image Server uses the self-developed image format-supergis Raster (SGR) as the Image Storing Structure, the features are listed as below: No Capacity Limitation: It has no capacity limitation; file size can be more than 2G. Pyramid Structure: Supports Image Pyramid and is able to rapidly read by tier.

Compressed or Uncompressed: Either compressed or uncompressed file is supported. Floating Value Supported: Floating value is supported to expand the analysis function. Quick Index & Access: Image data is supported to quick access by locating address, and it is able to quick locate the address and read among the huge data.
