Bur Juman Mall of the Emirates Jebel Ali Study 1: Metro Stations Dubai The Challenge: Provide temporary cooling to 12 metro station s in various locations along the Red line, from Rashidiya to Jebel Ali to allow opening on 9/9/9 Rental period : July 2009 - on going Solution: Power: 29 acoustically containerized generators ranging from 400 kva to 1250kVA Chillers: 53 air-cooled chillers in duplex configuration (total 9,940TR). Hoses: pre-insulated flexible rubber hose certified to 10 bar. Pumps: 25x 45 lts/sec Valves: numerous number of double regulating, non-return valves & isolation valves. Results: 12 depots achieved cooling on time to allow full commissioning and hand over of secondary systems to RTA, the project continues awaiting connection to each station of the D.C network
Study 2: Motor City Dubai The Challenge: Provide a 1,200 TR temporary cooling plant in a single location, utilizing the existing 12 Km loop to various buildings within Motor City. Rental period: April 2008 - on going Solution: Power: 7 x 800Kva acoustically containerized generators including bulk fuel storage tanks, electrical distribution & cables. Chillers: 6 x air-cooled chillers in duplex configuration equivalent to 1,200TR. Hoses: pre-insulated flexible rubber hose certified to 10 bar. Pumps: 6 x 45 lts/sec 5 0 mtr/head pumps Valves: numerous number of double regulating, non-return valves & isolation valves. Header: Header manifold to allow connection to clients pipe work. Results: L.W.T 5.5 0 C delta T of 8 0 C providing cooling to residential buildings at Motor City 400mm dia
Study 3: Meydan Dubai The Challenge: Provide temporary cooling to Meydan s race course concourse and hotel. To increase and decrease rented capacity in line with summer and winter load demand. Rental period: December 08 on going expected completion January 2010. Solution: Power: 10 MW synchronized acoustically containerized generators including bulk fuel tanks, distribution panels & cables. Chillers: 19 air-cooled chillers in duplex configuration equivalent to 3,800TR. Hoses: pre-insulated flexible rubber hose certified to 10 bar. Pumps: 10 x 45 lts/sec Valves: numerous number of double regulating, non-return valves & isolation valves. Results: Successful cooling to allow commissioning &occupation of the premises.
Study 4: Palm Dubai The Challenge: Provide cooling to the Atlantis Hotel, Lost World them park and dolphins habitat at Palm Dubai. Rental period: July 2007 Oct 2008 Solution: Power: 16 acoustically containerized generators ranging from 800KVA to 1,500KVA Chillers: 38 air-cooled chillers in duplex configuration equivalent to 7,676TR. Hoses: pre-insulated flexible rubber hose certified to 10 bar. Pumps: 19 x 45 lts/sec Valves: numerous number of double regulating, non-return valves & isolation valves. Results: The largest temporary air-cooled chiller plant in a single package ever built in Middle East. The system is designed to achieve an 8.8 C Delta T with a leaving water temperature of 5 C in ambient temperatures of 46 C.
Study 5: YAS Island Abu Dhabi The Challenge: Provide 13,000 TR temporary cooling to YAS Island, installed within 2 weeks time frame. Rental period: July 2009 Solution: Power: 33 x acoustically containerized generators ranging from 800kVA to 1250 kva Chillers: 66 x air-cooled chillers in duplex configuration equivalent to 13,000 TR. Hoses: pre-insulated flexible rubber hose certified to 10 bar. Pumps: 33 x 45 lts/sec Valves: numerous number of double regulating, non-return valves & isolation valves. Results: The 13,000 TR was relocated due to flushing delays on the main network, we successfully commissioned the 4 x hotel going direct to the H.X at separate locations.
