RPL recgnises that yu may already have the skills and knwledge needed t meet natinal cmpetency standards. Instead f undertaking training and assessment fr a curse yu can prvide evidence t shw that yu already meet the standards. What evidence d I need? Evidence will differ frm persn t persn, depending upn their wrk and life experiences. There is n specific type f evidence that is essential, rather it is up t yu t prvide whatever evidence yu think demnstrates that yu meet the skills and knwledge specified in a unit f cmpetency. The requirements fr the unit(s) f cmpetency in yur curse are summarised at the end f this dcument. Assessment f yur evidence will begin as sn as yur enrlment has been prcessed. Hw lng des it take? The initial assessment f yur evidence will usually be cmpleted within 3 wrking days. If yur evidence prves that yu have the required skills and knwledge then yur RPL assessment will cnclude at this pint and yu will receive credit fr the relevant unit(s) in yur curse. If there are gaps in yur evidence, these gaps will be utlined t yu and yu will be asked t prvide mre evidence. Yu can elect t cmplete an assessment task in lieu f prviding mre evidence if yu wish. When can I apply fr RPL? At the time f enrlment. The RPL prcess must be cmpleted befre yu begin yur training. What skills and knwledge d I need t have?
