Whether you re single or married, with children or without, everyone has bills to pay. James Hardie understands this, so we have made saving for the future easy and affordable through our contribution to Kiwisaver. By contributing 4% of your pay each pay period to Kiwisaver, along with our contribution of 7%, you can build a nest egg that will add comfort and security to your retirement years. Financial security at retirement won t just happen you have to make it happen, and Kiwisaver is a great way to start and offers these key advantages: The Company contribution is 7% of your earnings You can save either 4% or 8% of your earnings You decided how to invest your account. Death and Permanent Disability Insurance As a James Hardie employee you are insured for death or permanent disability. If you are a member of the existing James Hardie superannuation scheme (closed to new members from 1 April 2008), details of this cover are contained in your superannuation scheme rules. If you do not have a copy of these rules please contact your Human Resources team for a copy. If you are not a member of the existing James Hardie superannuation scheme, you will receive a lump sum payment of 1x your base salary.
Gym Discount To help keep you fit and healthy we ve negotiated a gym discount at Onehunga Aquasport Centre. As an employee of James Hardie you will receive either a 15% discount on your term membership or your joining fee of $90 will be waived (as long as your membership is paid by automatic payment). To acknowledge this contribution, we offer a number of bonus schemes at James Hardie which are tailored to your position to reward you for adding tangible value to our Company. The details of your bonus plan will have been discussed with you during your induction, but if you need a refresher, please contact either your manager or someone in your Human Resources team. Recognition scheme At James Hardie we really value the contribution that all our employees make and when our employees go the extra mile for us we want to let them know all about it! We have a recognition scheme whereby managers can nominate people who go above and beyond the call of duty to receive an award. This could include vouchers, a meal out for you and your partner, or even a weekend away. Educational assistance We think that investing in your future is important. We have a number of people each year who move between countries to take up different roles, be they either permanent moves or secondments. All vacancies undertaking. EAP EAP is part of our organisation s health and safety strategy. Our goal is to look out for your wellbeing, and you can use EAP to deal with personal and work issues. Free lunch Friday The Company holds a Free Lunch for all employees at least once a month. This is an opportunity to take a break together and talk about what s going on around the business.
Flu injections To ward off winter bugs, James Hardie offers you a free flu jab every year. To find out more please contact the Health and Safety Manager. Parental leave Cashout LSL and Annual Leave You can cash out any leave that is in excess of statutory leave (ie leave that is mandated by the government). For example, if you receive 5 weeks holiday per year but the statutory entitlement is 4 weeks, then you can cash in the extra week. This applies per We recognise that having kids can be expensive, so to help out and to ease your transition back to work our enhanced parental leave policy provides for a gross payment of $2000 on returning to work from maternity leave - this payment is made up of $1000 after 2 months and another $1000 after 6 months. year so you can t hold on to some holidays that are part of your statutory entitlement and then cash them in later. Long service leave You will be entitled to a one off special holiday of four weeks when you have been with the Company for 15 years. Thereafter, you re entitled to a further special holiday of two weeks for every five years of continuous service. Don t forget that you can also cash this in! Gift policy The Company recognises a number of key events. At the birth of your child you will receive a gift basket from the Company to celebrate this happy occasion. Also, to celebrate a 25th anniversary milestone with the Company you will receive a gift of $400 plus a function put on by the Company. Hearing tests The Company conducts hearing tests each year.
