MOTOR FLEET INSURANCE We have a distinctive approach to motor fleet insurance for the UK market. We focus on clients with fleets of more than 250 vehicles whether they are made up of cars, vans, HGVs, buses, coaches and specialist vehicles that want to embrace risk management and manage the way their employees drive company vehicles. HOW MOTOR FLEET WORKS Our approach is to create shared interests and a long-term agreement involving the client, the broker, the telematics service provider and HDI. The product uses vehicle telematics to support a service that results in the improvement of driver behaviour and over time will support a more predictive analytics approach to assessment of risk. This in turn supports the clients long term budgeting, reflects the ongoing risk, how that fits within the fleet s total cost of ownership and the clients overall management of their business objectives. CRASH DETECTION MODEL Crash detection is a key component in the fast and efficient claims process. When an impact occurs the telematics device communicates a message with appropriate details via the Telematics Service Provider to the First Notice of Loss (FNOL) team. This team immediately contacts the driver or the client, and manages the incident. At the same time the claims management process is engaged to ensure an efficient and cost effective conclusion to the claim. DRIVER RISK MANAGEMENT PROGRAMME Through the information generated from the telematics device, we work with the client to assess, support and manage the continual improvement of the driver s behaviour and work towards achieving a zero at fault claims experience. Detailed information is available from the telematics device covering not only the vehicle details and its location, but also data on types of driving behaviour such as speeding, aggressive acceleration, harsh braking, poor cornering and lane handling. Our product is supported by a driver education programme utilising an e-learning and psychometric profiling facility tailored to the clients needs.
