ASSESSMENT GENERATOR TUTORIAL CREATING ASSESSMENTS SIMPLE TYPE ASSESSMENT We recommend that you first create a Category to file your first assessment under. See the Categories Tutorial. 1. From Your Home Page, choose Assessments 2. Choose add new simple a. Setup b. Customization c. Results 3. Title: Name your Assessment 4. Category: Use the drop down menu to put this assessment into a category you may create a new category by clicking create new from the drop down category menu.
5. Split assessment by: - choose either Pages or Sections a. Choose whether you want to separate your assessment into Sections or by a certain number of questions per page. 6. If you are using Sections to separate the pages, name your sections Example: Beginning, Intermediate, Advanced 7. Separating by pages: add the number of questions per page. 8. If you want all questions on one page, add a number greater than the number of questions you anticipate adding. 9. Disabled: This is used if you do not want to use the assessment any longer 10. Encrypt URL: If you would prefer that your users not see the URL of your assessment add a check to this box. Click the Next button Next Section Customize Your Assessment With Your Brand 11. Assessment header: This is the top location of your assessment and where you might want to put your company logo. 12. Place the cursor in the table and then choose the image icon from the formatter menu - choose to link to your image using a URL, or upload your image. Be sure to remove the instruction text within the table provided. You may resize the table by dragging the corners - this is to help you place your logo. Right clicking on the box will show a menu to format the box - choosing Cell Cell properties will help position the logo within the area.
13. Assessment Instructions: This is where you can add instructions that will be placed right under the header you ve added. It is best to size the table the width of the assessment header. 14. Assessment footer: This is the bottom location of your assessment it will be viewable on all pages maybe a copyright notification might be placed here.
15. Footer on questions pages: This is a footer specifically for the Questions pages this might be a statement about how many pages are in the assessment, or additional instructions. Choosing the Colors 16. Page background click on the Color Pallet to choose the page background of the assessment. 17. Assessment table background click on the Color Pallet to choose the color of the Table background of the assessment itself. 18. Assessment table border click on the Color Pallet to choose the color of the border of the assessment 19. Assessment text click on the Color Pallet to choose the color of the text of your assessment 20. Assessment question text click on the Color Pallet to choose the color of the text for the questions.
21. Font size choose the font size for the assessment itself. To further format the standard text of the assessment, use a combination of text size and color, including grey colors to lighten the text. Click the Next Button Choose How Your Users Receive Their Results In this section, you will choose how you want your visitors to receive their assessment scores. 22. Require user to register: Check this if you would like your participant to register after they have taken the assessment if this is checked, your participant will be sent an account login and password to view their results online at any time. If the user has registered in the past, they will not be required to register again if their account has not been deleted. 23. Results on screen with score: Do you want your participants to see the results of the assessment online? a. There is not an option to show the score text without the actual score. 24. Final URL destination of participant. This is used when you have chosen to not show your participant their results on screen. Provide a URL to a
page on your web site - maybe a Thank you page with further instructions. 25. Results to email: Do you want your participants to be sent an email after they take the assessment with the score key text? 26. Score to email: Do you want to send the score along with the email. 27. Results to PDF: Do you want to allow your participant to click on the PDF image to view their score in a PDF file that will be printable? 28. Alert me: Do you want to receive an alert each time someone takes your assessment? 29. Autoresponder Email: This is an email address generated by an autoresponder service such as Aweber, Constant Contact, 1Shoppingcart. (1Shoppingcart will only accept third party generated emails if the client/customer is already in their database). Check with your autoresponder service for the direct email address to the list you want to use. TIP: As an alternative to using the Direct Email, you can add an autoresponder form to your Score Key text source code - please see the Tutorial - Score Keys 30. Results Header: This is where you add your Company Name, Logo what you want your participant to see on the Results Screen. Below this information, your user will see their score and score key text.

Add your message and your signature - the user s score will be placed below what you add. 34.
